Hi there. I am looking for a cool, original and BIG thunder hammer for a conversion im planning on doing. I will also need a storm shield to go with it, so why not try to find some awesome custom bits to stick on my character. The problem is I am having problems finding any that I like. I only really need the shaft and the head of the hammer but a full hammer with the hand will also work fine. Anyone got any ideas? All I seem to find is rather bland.

With the shield, it's easy to make your own if you have plasticard and some bits lying here and there. Right now I'm currently making a unit of TH/SS terminators and they all have custom shields. I don't have photos yet but I can show you one shield done with the same technique:

For the hammer I am looking for something very ornate, and preferably a slightly larger head than your average thunder hammer. Those look pretty cool though, thanks moss!

Not sure what you've looked at before, but Scibor and HiTech Miniatures have a number of fairly large shield designs.

Thanks for the tips Zefig, been to both of those sites, theres alot of cool stuff on there but nothing that really fits into the conversion I am doing. However those banners are pretty damn gorgeous. Big fan of HiTech. Still have the issue of not finding any overly unique/ornamental thunder hammers. Is there perhaps any fantasy hammers that may suit use as a thunder hammer? The only ones I can really think of are the Chaos warriors hammers which are too small and chaosy and the Empire warrior priest ones, which again are a little small.
