Hi, I am now extremely frustrated at a deceivingly simple error I have been having. The issue Is when I have my Xbox downstairs there is NEVER an issue connecting to XBL. However as soon as I use it upstairs it wont connect. The strange part is my connection to the wireless network is absolutely fine. It will connect to the network but NOT the internet, it seems to hover between an "internet error" and an "ICMP error". On rare occasions it will connect without issue, but will randomly disconnect after about 5-10 mins. After constantly trying the network test it will sometimes let me back on for another 5-10 mins and then disconnects again. Any Help?

Is your signal strength OK upstairs?

As mentioned signal strength is not an issue, thats why its so mystifying to me.

The signal may be strong enough for it to connect to the network, but not enough to reliably connect to the internet/live. If you can, set up your 360 closer to the router and see if you get any difference.

It's not going to be a driver error if it works fine when he plugs it in near the router, and it fails to connect when plugged in further away...
