Any thoughts on the new characters i have used the traveler and nemesor alot and i find they are a rather one two punch of annoyance to my opponents.
The ability to remove a group of ability's then give a unit in my army one of them has been a deciding factor twice and the ability to make a vehicle shoot at a target i choose was the reason i won at least once.

I have played against the stormlord and it was underwhelming as i was ready with 2 solar pulses which i can use at the start of any turn so turn one night fight i use pulse and no lightning.

Solar Pulse only negates Night Fighting for your turn, not your opponents.

But since you were playing against Imotekh and his lighting says 'at the start of the Necron shooting phase', I suppose he would roll for it in his turn and your turn.

It can be activated at the start of any turn by turn it means player turn so at the start of his turn 1 i activated the pulse from the first cryptek that ended with his player turn then on my player turn i activated the second pulse . So no lightning on turn 1. He didnt make his roll on turn 2.

Its was worth it.

I like to use 3 characters in my 2000 pt list. I take Imotekh, Zahndrekh, and Obyron. I also take a Command Barge for Obyron to hijack. Imotekh and Zahndrekh attach to a full unit of Warriors to give them Relentless and a Res Orb. There is also a Chronotek attached to help keep the Storm going, among many other things. Vargard performs flat-out sweep attacks with a 3+ Stealth cover save, and the Warriors advance on foot and hose down enemies with Gauss. They are also supported by a Ghost Ark to replenish casualties. If they get charged, Obyron appears in the combat to help beat them down or teleport away if it's going poorly. a 5-man unit of Lance Crypteks boards the Ghost Ark to blast at hard targets, possibly with Tank Hunters. Incredible synergy between this unit combination.

Imo has been my standard so far, and I love combining him with Szeras and a WS/SSS/RO Lord to make a super brick of 20 warriors.

Nemesor I think has some tremendous potential. Any list that has a big unit that can benefit from his toys can be deadly. My curfrent tinkering has him in a list with 10 Praetorians and a DLord. Nemo gives them Stealth on their way up the field and Furopis Charge or Counter Attack later. Very nasty.

Orikan is great in WW lists.

Trazyn and Anrakayr I've used the least, but I think both have potential.

Imotekh: Fantastic, but you absolutely need to build your list around him. His points cost is too high to just toss into a list, and night fighting can hinder you as well as your opponent. Imotekh tends to favour getting in close to minimize night fighting hurting you, so silver tide, wraithwing and scarab farm lists work great with imotekh.

Anrakyr: I used to consider him the best HQ in the codex and he used to be my go-to guy, right up until the Necron FAQ. Now that he can't use Mind in the Machine from a CCB, his utility is seriously decreased.

Nemesor: I just started using him, and I've found his ability to rob enemy abilities to be situational at best. However, being able to give my own units Tank Hunters is terrific and has easily been worth Nemesor's points.

Regardless of the FaQ nerf, anrakyr remains my favorite Necron HQ - While he's not as OMFGAwesome as he was, his combination of WS, furious charge, counter attack, MitM, and eternals ability is still a wicked suite for a Kamakazi-boat overlord.

Soon to add

Proud supporter of Anrakyr, Scott the Paladin, and the Farsight faction.
