I am making a dreadknight with a heavy incinerator and want to have some burn marks or scorch marks on the base. Or even, maybe, a burned up looking skeleton type thing or other charred bodies. Are there any tutorials or links for how to do these things?

This isn't 100% spot on, but fairly close:

scroll down until you see the section where the tutorial shows how to do placeable terrain (trees and such, made from wire)

As for scorch marks on a tank or some-such:

"Scorched brown with calthan brown and graveyard earth highlights looks pretty good. Throw a little boltgun metal in there for a realistic approach."

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Cool, thanks.

I wonder if some kind of dark weathering power could be applied to a painted skeleton / corpse to make it appear charred.

Not having used weathering powedrs ever, I am not sure if that would work. Anyone know?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
