Subject: what is a farsight bomb? and can you take suits as troops with farsight?

I'm a complete Tau noob so please excuse the probably pretty obvious question but I got very confused when reading the Tau codex.
It says under farsight that I can take crisis suits as firewarriors? does that mean those elites count as troops? And do I still get to take more of them as elites?
And the restrictions below, does that mean I can just have 1 of each of the pathfinders + 1 hammerhead + 1 broadsides units? or is it just 1 unit of either of the choices below like just 1 hammerhead, and if I took it, I'd have zero pathfinders/broadsides/etc allowed to me?
Also, what exactly constitutes a farsight bomb as I've heard this before but have no idea what it means. He deepstrike in and try to dawnblade some land raider or something?

1) Crisis suits are not counted as troops. It means you must take at least 1 unit of crisis suits, but they still count as elites.
2) You can take up to 1 unit of each type listed, so you can take broadsides and pathfinders, but no more than 1 unit each.
3) Farsight is usually accompanied by a ton of suits with target locks (to allow them to shoot at different units) and shield drones. On paper it makes for a very hard and killy unit that you can drop pretty much anywhere. In reality, they tend to drop in, kill a few things, then get tied up in CC for the rest of the game. Since it costs so many points to build one, generally it means the rest of your army doesn't have the ability to carry the game once Farsight is taken out of the picture.

that said dropping 10 suits with fusion guns plasma or missiles or a combination of those, with target locks, multi tracks and shield drones can do very bad things to whatever they drop close to. plus they can deal with multiple threats. the downside of course, is that they are now a unit that takes up a huge footprint, and is right in the middle of enemy lines, ready to be counter shot / charged.
if your going to go with farsight and his huge blob of suits, kit them for longer range duty. plasma/missile works pretty well, and with secondary movment allows you to keep distance better then most. the missile pods can pop tanks for you and plasma works nice to take care of termies or whatever else that gets too close.

I played against a farsight bomb just recently. Bascially it consisted of Farsight and his 7 dwarves....eh, I mean 7 suits. This is basically the Tau version of a deathstar - a very expensive and ultra-killy unit. They put up a ton of S6 AP2 plasma and S7 AP4 missile shots and can be made so that each model can target a separate unit!
My opponent told me that he's killed many, many marine units - both power armor and terminators - with his deathstar before. And then I introduced him to my necron wraiths and scarabs. Let's just say that Tau hate wraiths and scarabs.....

lol.
My meltas and lascannons have done some nice things to wraiths and their T4 2w's unfortunately tau opted for the lower power options

I saw a farsight bomb seriously mess up some GK. Killed a chimera, the retinue, and the inquisitor inside all in one turn. The rest smashed up a razorback and some paladins. It was looking really bad for the GK's (had one squad of paladins left, the chapter master, and a tac squad which through a teleport mishap ended up as far away from everyone as possible). However, farsight got killed, and the other 7 suits broke and fled. From there, the tau didn't last long against the CC of the GK's.
