I don't know if this is old stuff or not, but only recently was it shown to me, and I got one hell of a scare.

You just have to scroll down the page, but viewer discretion is advised. You have been warned.

How is that done, thought? Scripting? Eerily adequate sounds, though.

Oh, I did over-hype it a bit, but I still think it's interesting to see the effort that went into this.

Scarier than most "horror" movies I've seen.

Oh yes. I was impressed how they programmed the video to only activate when the page was centered on it. Really well done.

Did you guys know Canada has a friggin desert?

yeah, that was pretty damn scary....and then I thought that the ending could have been better...

Spoiler:
By that I mean that perhaps the story should have related around the girl, rather than just saying she's a ghost. meh, still scared me

I don't think we'll need spoilers, you can mention a dead girl x) but what do you mean with being related to her? Her story? I think it was interesting from the uninvolved point of view, just like you and me. Makes it a lot closer to "our real horror stories", where we're mostly spectators without full grasp of what's going on.

Part of the problems with horror films (or games, etc) is that you're expecting it. From what I've seen, the orientals do it better than us.

The trick to horror anything is the psychological horror rather than jumps and shocks.

I'll agree, its not horror anymore than me shouting boo at you is horror, the sound and movement gave me a shock though!

Yeah, its more of a startle because of the unexpected movement and sounds. Made my heart skip a beat though and it didn't help that I was wearing my turtle beaches with the sound up high. Nice find.

I had the sound on pretty low as I was watching it. I got a little bit of a chill. I could see this being pretty freaky if you watching this at a normal volume late at night. I remember when The Ring came out (the american version) it had a website. The screechy sounds and imagery was bad enough the it took me a couple of weeks before I would navigate the site at night.

Huh that was surprisingly well done. I liked the framing on the little girls feet, etc. I was not expecting the startle effects, at all, so it actually did cause me to jump startle / heart skip. thanks for sharing!

Oh that was tame. Seriously the 10cm centipede that ran up my arm the other day while digging in the garden gave me more of a fright then that did. This will however be a great trap for the rest of my family...
