hey Guys,

well unfortunately the goblins won't make it this time around. I was just too dis-satisfied with them to publish. I AM working on them though so they will see release by next month ( which is going to be HYUGE! ) with the HelsVakt foot and armoured elites.

BUT!!! I do have the modular Aenglish ready to rock and roll. these are due in hand by the end of the week next week. These are fitted for universally interchangeable weapons, heads, and shields. So the combination you see pictured are not the only possibilities. Further the next series of modular Aenglish will be compatible with these for even further possibilities!

So now Whistlocke has his band of hardmen to bust up the alley gangs of ShieldPort!

These are availible in two SKUs. There is a 4 pack for $24.99 and an 8 pack for $39.99.

Hope you like them!

Cheers,

Tre'

My initial reaction was that they looked promising, high detail and sculpting quality.

But only 4 body poses? Over $6 each? I can't say I'm sold.

@ph34r - that's about normal now.

I like them. They're a bit redundant with Brett men at arms but good medieval figs with a lot of uses.

$5.00 to $6.00 doesn't seem unreasonable for this level of quality

What scale are they? True 28mm, or 'heroic', or what? I like them very much as generic middle-ages warriors, much better for the purpose than Bret Men-at-arms.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Counts as Cadwallon Militia for much less than a Legacy re-cast.
Bought a selection of female characters from this guy last year. Scale wise those particular sculpts weren't GW compatible (think Lo'Nua, Maneos, Gwernydd etc) which makes the level of detail more impressive. Very interested, would also like to see X-Bows to beef up the three Rackham poses..

Exactly what I was thinking, anyone know if Red Boxes minis scale well with Rackham?

Ankh Morpork???

Only for the 4 pack. I think that is fair for those who only want these 4. If you buy the 8 pack you get the figures for $4.99 per figure. I think that is a fair price for 8 figures fitted for universally interchangeable heads, weapons and shields and then also to get 8 weapons, 8 heads, and 8 shields to boot.

To be flatly honest I won't even be able to pay myself half of what I would make working for another company for the same amount of work until I have sold at least 100 sets of these. WHich may or may not happen for at least 60 days. I priced them to sell them at levels that are as affordable as possible for both customer and myself ( if I don't make money I can't afford to produce ) and HOPE that I can sell enough of them in 30 days to pay off production for the initial run AND for a enough of a restock that will later allow me enough profit to pay myself for the effort. GW, PP, and AOW might sell 1000's of per product but I sell in the 100's IF I am lucky. I have to set my prices according to what I need to make to stay in business.

If there were a way I could price them cheaper I would, but due to the expense of metal ( what I get charged by my production firms at least ) and the labour to produce I cannot. Until resin spin casting becomes a reliable reality this is just the way it is. Believe me; I don't like it anymore than you do.

This is as cheap as you will find Metal figures of comparable weight..... and those would be single piece castings as well, not multipart SKUs ( each part requires an individual mould and metal that would otherwise not be neceassary i.e. sprue tabs...... more moulds = more money / higher cost vs ROI....more metal = higher costs vs ROI ). Where else can you find highly detailed VERY WELL CAST figures that cheap? My prices are low but my standards are VERY high. You will not recieve a broken or miscast part from me. The mould lines are minimal if there are any at all. I am very proud of my product and I consider it an honour and a measure of my character as a provider of art to populate the theater of your imagination.

I don't mean to single you out or rant at you, I have just seen this particular comment often enough that I felt it was appropriate to explain myself a bit.

I think most people woudl call the RBG scale true 28mm. However the best explanation si as follows;

The scale of RBG figures is true 32 mm, which some people would consider to be 30mm and others would consider as 28mm. The figures are built to have the most realistic proportions I can manage to capture. The different races are built to different " sizes ". The break down is thus;

All measurements are based on full standing ( both feet together back straight ) armatures measured from the bottom of the feet to tthe top of the skull.

Humans .................... 32 to 34mm

Elves ..................... 29 to 31mm

Dwarves ................... 22 to 25mm

Gnomes..................... 15 to 20mm

Goblins ................... 15 to 25mm

Trolls..................... 45 to 50mm

giants .................... 35 to 55mm

No spears?

Not yet. Bu tthere will be more o feach of the four options soon.

flat bows are int eh plans but these will of course be their own unit entirely.

anyone know if Red Boxes minis scale well with Rackham?

Just as with so many other manufacturers it depends which Rackham figure you compare them to. When I first started out I used Tanath the Horned one as a scale guide. I fiugred he woudl represent the Tallest end of the Human Spectrum so most RBG figures are goign to be about that tall or maybe a little shorter.

Thanks everybody for the interest and support and ANY Feedback!

Cheers Guys,

Not wanting to sound like a fanboy, but from the models I purchased from Tre, I can vouch for what he says about the quality. It was top notch. I was very satisfied.

I paid 15 euro for Vlad from GW on the otherhand, and he was very miscast and had a lot of flash and other rubbish going on. So I think Tre's prices are pretty solid for what you get. The scale is closer to LOTR than Warhammer.

Also, Tre, Ankh Morpork is the main city in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. The first book with the Night Watch is called "Guards, Guards!" and it's a cracking read, I recommend all the Night Watch books.

I'd like to use them to beef up my Cadwallon Militia, would they fit? I don't have Tanath so no idea on my end...

Tre, I just bought a few of your minis not that long ago, about a week ago.

Very impressive quality. Most miniatures out there are just average, I would put yours way above that quality but just below Infinity and Mercs.

I have heard you will be making a set of rules to go along with your minis. Is this true?

If so, will it be a skirmish game?

Fixed stats or customization?

Thanks PH.

Yep the rules are in testing right now. For the time being it will be skirmish / RPG based. There will be published rule sets for units, characters, and monsters but there will also be rules for customizing any in game actor or totally building your own.

No worries, the information was useful and I am now more informed. I believe my initial thought of "modular english footmen? must be good for rank and file troopers" put me in the mindset to expect lower prices. I will say again that these models look high quality, and if I ever have need for footmen, guards, or men at arms of any type these would be my first choice.

Thank you kindly Ph34r.... glad I did not come off as twatish.

@plastictrees... the Cavalry are hot on the heels of the footmen. There will also be a new version of Yrsa mounted and a-foot and a unit of ranger / assassin / archer types in that same release. Shoudl be April.
