Nay. Doesn't look like a Multi-Melta.

Looks more dual-LC (or TL LC) than a MM to me.

Can you snip the middle sections from those gun barrels? Then it would look a lot more MMish.

Agreed, looks like Lascannons to me. Cut off the front and build a MM muzzle.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I have to agree with everyone else. To me the multi melta barrels should be stacked on top of each other, not to the side. Maybe that wouldn't matter to anyone else, but I see this and think tllc. Just my opinion, not trying to disparage your efforts.

I say go ahead with the idea, and just replace the two puzzles with the normal MM muzzles. I like your idea of having an AV14 tank that doesn't need a guy to be fully exposed to fire to man one of the weapons. Also, add either a gunsight block to the blank armor area on the top, or the fuel bottles that go on the normal multi-melta. It'll break up the outline, and help it look less like a twin Lascannon to other people, in my opinion.

I don't care if they're vertical or horizontal but they need to look like multimeltas and not lascannons.

Cut the barrels off and slap the front part of a multimelta on it.

The real problem with that turret for me is that it rides to low to the vehicle. The Multimelta is a short ranged weapon which means it needs to have more declination (the ability to point down without melting the Land Raider itself). A low profile turret like that mounted high, rearward and relatively centered is going to have a really limited field of fire. Especially to the front where it might accidentally melt the assault cannons.

TBH it is too recognizable of a bit: you in effect have a dreadnaught arm on top of your land raider...

Although, a MM dreadnaught arm on top of a Land Raider doesn't look that bad. I used one as a LRC turret years ago - extended the barrels leading to the shroud with some brass tubing and added a spotlight to the top, but it looked pretty cool. Wish I had a better pics than this, but you get the idea.

I think it looks really good. For those saying it'd too easily recognizable as a twin las, you could cut out the center barrel sections or use the MM arm from a Black Reach dread. I like that it looks like a remote turret and isn't going to break off like the spindly cupola mounts they come with
