Ok, I need to muder, destroy, burn, rape, burn again, and then smash some more, all with eyes of fire, and smoke streaming forth from mouth and ears.

So 2 weeks ago, the wife and I decided to surprise the kids (and ourselves) with an Xbox 360 kinect bundle and a few games (that each would enjoy all their own) We didnt go for the next day, but picked an option that would ship it out withing 3ish days. They shoot us our designated delivery time and we wait. That date comes, with no package in the mail. So the wife contacts Amazon, she gets a rep that barely speaks english, and struggles through the process. The lady gives us a $10 credit and says she checked into it, and itll be 4 more days.

We wait 4 days annoyed, but it comes.......and goes........ with no package. So she contacts them AGAIN. Gets another rep with bad english speaking abilities and struggles through it again. The rep apologizes and gives us another $20 of credit and says itll take a couple more days, but we WILL get it by today. So annoyed even more, we agree. Today comes.....I here a loud knock on the door. The wife jumps up and is super excited to see the UPS truck in our driveway! She opens, and notices the man holding a clip board and nothing else. Confused, she asks, wheres our packages? The UPS man is equally confused, and says, "I have these labels here, that says you wanted me to pick up a return for an xbox?" So annoyed convo on both sides, the UPSman says "You guys need to contact Amazon right away, because something is seriously F'ed in the A"

We contact Amazon, once more today. This time, I said, no fething way, I want someone that can understand me, as much as I can understand them. I apologized for sounding like a bigot, but in matters like these, I dont want to HOPE the person on the other end, has a clue WTF Im talking about. So they cancel the order, made a new order for the Xbox bundle, and is now shipping it over night. We should get our xbox tomorrow, or Weds at the absolute latest. She apologized further and said since things were so fethed with the buyers on our games, she would refund the games, and we would have to then buy the games again (probably from a different seller, her words not mine lol) and go from there. She also added, that we still get our credits from before, just because of the headache.


So now we wait. Im about to find out where Amazon is located, and punch some CEO's in their faces, and anyone that doesnt like that, will receive a quick kick in the testicles for my trouble. So yea, just needed to vent, and proclaim Amazon, to be a logistical, fething nightmare.

The wife is on the phone right now......they found our stuff. It wasnt sitting in a shipping yard waiting for no reason, they sent it to California. I live in Michigan. Heres a map for those that are to lazy to actually think about how incredibly off this is

We found this all out, because the wife got a phone call with a weird phone number. Turns out, ITS THE GUY! He gets a big ol box in the mail, also shares in the WTF? opens it, and finds all our stuff in it. So he calls Amazon 3 fething times! and each time they tell him, they will refund his purchase. And each time he says "I didnt BUY THIS, XX Person did, I think they would want their stuff" Uhg. feth you Amazon, feth you.

OK, heres where we are at. Basically, we are at status FUBAR.

The guy has to print out 3 shipping labels from Amazon. Even though everything is in 1 box (I dunno, we couldnt explain that enough) to send it all back to Amazon
US! we get a new xbox bundle over nighted from Amazon.
When Amazon GETS the box from THE GUY! we finally get our games and such, refunded, but not before.
So THEN we get to re purchase the gak we added to said xbox.

NO! No they cant. Why? I dont fething know, I really dont. We asked, THE GUY asked, infact he asked, for a label to overnight our stuff....TO US! But NO! No they cant!

On the plus side, you've been lucky that the other guy was an honest guy who's tried several times to return the stuff. If your luck was really gakky, it might have arrived at someone's house and they just keep it.

I use Amazon a lot, USUALLY when it is actual Amazon as the vendor they do pretty well. That being said, I've had some good screw ups from them too.

My favorite was getting the electronic notice from UPS saying my package was delivered. Walk all around the house, no package. Call UPS and am told because the package was from Amazon, I must call Amazon to get the issue resolved (part of the contract Amazon had with UPS at that point meant UPS didn't handle the screw up). Once I called Amazon, they obviously looked on line at the UPS tracking and insisted it was delivered.....

Im not sure on the 3rd party. My wife did the ordering, but I am pretty sure the Kinect bundle was from Amazon. Erg..... I just really need to go shoot some things for a few, and Id feel much better

Thus far, my response to this thread can be summed up as follows:

I had a package from the Warstore get to a UPS station an hour away from me... it sat there for four days, until they found it in Cerritos, California... Much like KingCracker, I live far from Ca, I live in Ohio...

It then spent the next week traveling via ground to my school...

I think its less Amazon, and more UPS... though I could be wrong if KingCracker's package was sent via someone else...

Its mostly for the kids, and the wife who is a casual gamer. I will be playing some much better titles.

I'm actually shocked at the success of Amazon sometimes. Maybe its just me but I find their website to be HORRIBLE and annoying to navigate.

I just tried to order a CD from Amazon (the bands kind of local and I am friends with the front man)

The place I used to live was technically on campus, and therefore had no street address. I had an apartment number, the name of the building, and the name of the school. This seems to make Amazon cry, for some reasons.

I ordered some knives off of Amazon, and they gave me the delivery date, etc. I didn't receive them on the delivery date, talked to CS, and they told me that they would re-order my stuff. This happened 4 times.

Long story short, I eventually got 4 copies of my order.

So I paid ~140 USD, and got ~560 USD of merchandise. Silly Gerber.

Maybe it's just the US site, I use Amazon all the time over here and I've never had a problem. Ever. Hell, postage is so damn fast sometimes I've had pre-orders turn up the day before the actual release date!

I think I have you beat. My coworker ordered a single ice scraper from Amazon. He received a whole fething case of them. What does one do with 30 ice scrapers?

I think part of it depends on the vendor. I have had NO problems with my orders directly from Amazon. When it is from a affiliated seller who has to do the shipping etc, is only when I've encounter issues, such as tracking/shipping info not being update etc.

Am I allowed to be amused by the fact you want to burn someone first, Then rape them?

Damn, thats pretty shocking KC, I mean Amazon Uk gets the odd mess up, mainly pre-order shenanigans and lack of delivery on release day for triple A gaming titles, but yeah sounds like it was a 'fun' week.

Hope they get your stuff to you asap. Oh did you get to keep the credit? As at least it'll be some kinda boon to take when the xbox is sitting in front of you.
