I've noticed that some of the members here and on other forums have a particular fondness for MLP.
Why is this so?

This will surely crash and burn into a flamewar. To be short, the show was developed by Lauren Faust, who was behind Powerpuff girls and Foster's home for Imaginary friends. So the show is well made, and it has gotten a lot of attention outside of it's target demographic. I don't much care for it, but I'm not gonna RAGE over it. Though once I started seeing MLP Hitlers, it crossed the line, but that's the internet for you.

Ok glomping isn't something that is exclusive to mlp fans, it is just something nerdy chicks like to do and it is basically an attacking hug, where you kinda run at someone and hug them.

I was assimilarted into the brony herd about a year ago.

I inadvertently blogged my conversion in a thread on the Classic battltech forums. The subject came up there, so I watched it, and reported how it wasnt for me.

However the comments below the videos on YouTuber showed that many adult men liked the show, even though it was marketed ad pre-teen/early teen girls. I got curious as to why.....

That is how I discovered how awesome this show is.

I seriously recommend it.. For example one epidosde has the following plotline. a pony wants to mkake dresses fo the ball, and makes one for all the other ponies, together they have a fashion show. This episode has no viollence and a lot of singving, about making dresses and girly things.
It makes you wanna puke rainbows yes?

How about I told you that this episode, and others like it were entertaining to grown men, and purely from its plain value, not for any underhand, sexual, or inadvertent content. Aren't you even a little curious as to how that can be so. I was, so I took a second look, and found out just how good My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is. It does have undertones, feminist ones, and they are oddly forgivable because of the quality of the content.

One caveat though, make sure you have the proper shows, the onces by Lauren Faust with the suffix Friendship is Magic and not the earlier syrupy abominations of overmarketing and crud. Watching the wrong My Little Pony is a bad mistake, it may put you off, which would be a shame as its some of the best TV/YouTube clips out there.
