The mighty road hogs hurl themselves into the fray with supercharged fury, unleashing gouts of flame and mechanikally enhanced brutality upon enemies of the farrow. Their lower limbs replaced by prosthetic legs, they are capable of surprising swiftness at the cost of agonizing pain to the beasts themselves—a small price to pay for the brutal carnage the road hogs can inflict upon their foes.

woo, the goggles rise again.

The problem with the Farrow minions is that Privateer Press also released the Blindwater Congregation. There's really no comparison between the two.

The War Hog is one of my favorite PP minis, it's a great shame that all the big pigs since have lacked the sculpt detail and character of that model.

Mmmm... Nice to see the Road Hog show up, but it does lack the pure awesome that is the War Hog. It'd be nice if the pose was more dynamic.still, I'll get at least one.

I think this is where the company just needs to stop, take a deep breath and think to them selves, "Did we really just release that model." If it wasn't all cyborg and crap. I would totally get one. I can see it now a Duke Nukem all cop pig army. Pig cop army? Army of the cop pigs? Hmmmmm bacon.

Except you know, this faction's previous Warbeasts are cybor pigs, and their most recent caster is a cybor pig. It's kind of the point of the faction.

Yeah, regardless of how "good" the model is, complaining about Farrow having cybor pigs is akin to not liking the most recent space marine release because it is in power armor.

Hey, at least giant mutant anthropomorphic steampunk swine are original. You can't claim PP are totally re-hashing everyone else's ideas all the time.

Not my cup of tea, but I enjoy the silliness of it.

I don't get the comments about it being too over the top, or too cyborg. As a few others have said, it's for a faction of sentient pigs who have a mad scientist working for them who uses technology and magic to make eight foot tall boars into half machine instruments of death. Not sure why one would be dissapointed because of that.

Not liking it for sculpting reasons is another reason. Personally I like it and will be adding on to my small Farrow army eventually.

I am wondering if they somehow got a Mekboy from some orks to help them out.

No, spraying three colors on your minis does not count as painted! 5k+

QFT!

That was (unless I'm forgetting something) the best mini PP put out that year, but I saved my wallet by waiting a while to see what the rest fo the line looked like.

Lord Carver was pretty good, and Arkadius was interesting, but the interest stopped there. As awesome as the War Hog is, one model does not a faction make.

At least Pigs are totally orginal.
Seriously Mantic just released Space Skaven or some rat thingy. I know they used to be designers from GW and they are trying to fill a void with the GW missing races .

Really?

• Arkadius--> any number of mad scientist characters, from any number of bits of fiction

• Farrow: Pigs as Skaven: Rats
Seriously, you've got the arrogance, the product of mad science, the cobbled tech, the animal men, the mockery/imitation of humanity, the animal jokes... generally like Skaven, specifically more like Clans Skryre and moldur(? the tech one and the animal experimentation one). About the only notable difference is that Farrow are recently organized. Other than that, the differences are just attributable to connections to their respective animals of origin (i.e. farrow aren't sneaky/have large numbers, but that's because they're not themed off of rats).

So, other than being a less common pig-theme (not the first, nor the last), what exactly makes them "original"?

I love the concept of steam-powered cyborg boars, but compared to the War Hoag this one looks rather dull.

Really hope your not trying to flame my post. You read too much into it. To understand Sci Fi or Fantasy art, gaming, movies, or books you first have to understand it is just another way of telling how 'man or woman' overcome life's adverse principles.

Not to reiterate what I was trying to say was Cybernetic Pigs... Pigs man ... who else has pigs..... jeesh!.

I agree- it's nice that they're going after their own ideas, even if I'm not always a fan of the execution!

Imo, this model isn't half bad, though.

I actually think with a more dynamic pose and some added detail/base work, this could be one of the best models in the line.

Great, now I just HAVE to buy more Hordes models, just because you mentioned that. Thanks a lot!

I always liked how the early Warmachine models looked a bit Final Fantasy 7-ish.
