Hi, I've recently become interested in restarting 40k and began scouring my house for models and cases.
After much searching through lofts, cupboards and under beds I have assembled my armies with significantly less models... My 3000pt Ultramarine force reduced to about 20 Marines (all looking rather raggedy), 2 Chapter Masters, 3 Dreadnoughts (2 unpainted), A Drop Pod, A Plasma Cannon Marine, 2 Tyrannic War Veterans, A Land Raider and 2 Razorbacks. Whilst my Necron horde has become 14 Warriors, 3 Destroyers, 4 Pariahs and a Monolith. Also A fair amount (of rather useless) Tyranids have appeared...
Anyway, I've posted a couple of pics and started a thread or two whilst starting to repaint my Pariahs (Some of my fave Crons, ignoring the rigidity of the models poses) in a new colour scheme which I'd love to show you however as anyone who has seen my uploaded photos will have seen. I have a rubbish camera. So just to give you an idea of my colour scheme, I started with a Chaos Black undercoat and drybrushed Fortress Grey until all of the model was covered, minus cavities etc. and then lightly drybrushed some Skull White to give it a bit of a highlight. I then painted the chest symbol and the eyes scab red and then blood red and finally based it with fine gravel.
But apart from painting Nids and Crons I've been seriously considering Nurgle CSM instead of restarting Crons (as Mat Ward seems to have had his way with them... I'm unsure as to what has happened, anyone who knows much about the Codex please enlighten me). A quandry indeed.
