Ah, gotcha, jumped in too fast... go with the first one. You could put some chain and if you have some pulley wheels cut in half, to wrap the chain around you could manufacture a new door opening system.... Lower the drawbridge!!!

The second onr doesnt feel right and would probably be more suited to a chimera.. I could maybe give you a hatch for it

i liked the former one too...that one has nice deatils but looks still wrong to me...

Yeah, I vote for the first one, second looks just a little too clunky.

No worries about the avenger, there's always several phases that look dodgy whilst painting...at least, that's my experience

I'm actually planning on keeping this one relatively (or perhaps deceptively) unadorned. The whole top hatch will be modular for this one, if I can get it to work. I plan on turning a metal exorcist front into a beast of an immolator topper

Pretty shoddy, but came as part of a trade for bits. never mind, I'm no stranger to gs! The base in that pic isn't the vehicle mount, which I used as the SoB topper for my Ordo Malleus affiliated death cult.

Several layers of paint upon the beast. Basically, the greys (or should I say grays?) are now done:

Most front lights will be sodium orange, btw.

Where exactly are you having issues with the joins? I see a very minor messy join under the COD eagle, but nothing that stands out as needing re-working.

the knights do look good... but that price tag alone is worth of a GW package...
