Building a 25mm Cathedral. The main entrance is two standing towers, the front doors and middle have fallen in. The rear of the building stands, but its flanks have also fallen in. The flooring will be textured like a cathedral (marble floor pattern), and there will be broken pews. It ends with a stage and an Aquila in perfect condition (a "miracle"). It will be made into three parts for storage/transportation, and will measure approximately 13" x 26".
The hard part is finding pews in 25mm and an easy way to create a patterned marble floor. Any suggestions?

Plasticard with knife cuts could be a simple way for the marble floor but it would depend on the pattern your wanting for the floor. Cant help you with the pews though sorry.

Are you looking for advice on painting marble, or on making the floor itself?

By far the easiest (and for some uses best looking) solution for a (polished) marble floor is printing out a marble texture in the appropriate scale, pasting it to the floor and giving it a few coats of gloss varnish.

Making the floor, Zefig. I've read in enough places to use (for example) cheap wallpaper for fancy roads and such. I was wondering if there was something as easy for marble.
@TIB, what order do I build/prime the cathedral in order not to lose the texture to primer? Automatically Appended Next Post: All the marble tutorials are awesome, but not large scale enough.

Ok, cool. Depending on how much you're willing to invest in the project, Hirst Arts sells a bunch of floor molds, in addition to a huge number of walls and whatnot as well. There are some that'd make for good marble tiles, and you can re-use them tons of times.

Not sure I understand the question completely, but there's different ways you can go about incorporating this method into your build. For a ruin I think you can best do the floor first, build over it and hand prime those parts (with gesso). This method would be best if you plan on doing quite some rubble piles and broken walls etc. to be lying on the floor. (use light weathering powders to simulate the dust on the floor after you're done painting).
