Ok, here are some old Squat minis that crossed my table recently. The only conversion is the one in red, and on him is is just some simple weapon swaps.

Well, I don't know what kind of introduction Squats need, so here they are:

Those are mighty nice! I'd sure like to see some new Squats one day, even fighting as a supplement to Tau or IG.

Lovely stuff, nice to see such attention given to such classic models

Yeah, I personally love giving some love to classic minis.

As for more squats- well these were actually done as a commission. That means that I didn't have to scour ebay myself to find them.

The client they went to has a knack for getting a hold of older minis too, and I've done quite a few classics for him.

If he sends me more, I'll be happy to paint them up and share them.

God I love squats.

You've done these little guys justice very nicely done!

I grew up with these minis and never really liked them, even back then, however as others have said you've made them look really great. I feel this guy has an almost WOW gnomish feel to him, I'd have swapped the weapons out for new style ones m'self but again just a personal thing. Well done mate!

Nice. I wish they would bring back squats. Those mini's are ace and thinking of what current sculpting techniques could do with them makes me wish for it even more.

You started a Squats thread and didn't show a picture of the Squatted Fidel Castro? For shame, odinsgrandson. For shame.

Didn't they do a Squat techpriest or something a while ago as a limited run? I think it was either games day or with a WD subscription?

Awesome as always man!

During the 2nd ed era, they were planning on releasing a codex Squats and started making test minis for the force. At some point they canned the project, and instead released the minis as a games day special. They looked much more up to date than these minis:

A similar thing happened with an Adepts of Mars force, so there are Games Day techpriests out there as well.
