Last night I was watching the news and an advert came on that started off with a mother and young daughter at a table, the girl was hand painting. The voice over comes on and says. Some things in life are easy. It then moves to a young boy trying to do up his shoe laces. The voice over then moves on to say, some things are hard. The voice over then proceeds to announce, "this is why we have made a hands free hand washing system".

What the Feth?!!?

Are they now telling us that picking up a bar of soap or pushing down on the pump of a soap dispenser is rocket science, that the process is some complex that they have to make it idiot proof?!! What the hell is going on with the world?!!!!

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

LOL, started a thread on this in another forum a few months back.

I took it more about fighting germs and "protecting your precious little ones" than making it easier to use.

Talk about kid gloving the World. Watch out peeps those nasty old germs will get you all.

I think it is because theoretically, the push handle thing on a soap dispenser is the dirtiest place in any given house, because that is the last thing you touch before you wash your hands and you never touch it when you have clean hands. Presumably, making a hands free system means you don't have to spread whatever crap you have on your hands that you are trying to wash off.

But you could argue that it makes no difference as you touch the "dirty" pump to put the soap in you hand... then wash them both! So unless a. you don't wash the hand you used or b. the soap doesn't do what is says it does, it's a scare mongering tactic?!

Lol!

Dang right about that! In my house (I live on a sort of "farm") well, no one seems to ever get very badly sick. I wonder why? Since we've probably been exposed to so much more than our average Joe, we've got quite the immune systems.

IR operated taps are a good advance for saving water.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

No better that percussion taps and more likely to fail. Waste of money in many cases.

That said I'm outta here. I'm not having another fight over taps, i'm just not!
