yeah,
I traded a bunch of FW Nurgle stuff and a 25th anniversary marine today for a bunch of Necrons.

I got;
18 sprues of warriors... 72 warriors/scarbs
7 destroyers
3 destroyer lord upgrade kits (metal bits)
4 metal lords (could be used as cryptek's?)
3 wraiths
6 metal immortals
1 plastic immortals/deathmark box
1 tomb spider1 nightbringer

I'm completely new to necrons, with these models I'd like to make a 1500pts list.
Can it be done? or are there mandatory purchases i don't have?
Where should I start...

All help gratefully received

Warriors lists tend to have a tough time against vehicles (apart from glancing them to death).

You could maximise the number of Scarab Bases you can make out of that stuff, and maybe get another Tomb Spyder as a Scarab farm? The more Scarabs you can get on the enemy vehicles, the better the Warriors get at dealing with Armour.

Otherwise, I guess if you went for a Destroyer Lord and squad as a big, powerful unit, then yeah, you could use the foot Lords as Krypteks.

I'd also combine the old and new Immortals together into a single cool-looking, bigger unit. Take the old ones apart and rebuild with a mishmash of bits?

Oh, and if you combine the Immortal boxes, then you have the Deathmark Heads left over, which are good for Kryptek conversion heads...

yeah,
I'll probably try and trade metal models for more immortals.
I like the idea of using the deathmark heads to convert to crypteks... easy.
Although I was also thinking 3 basic Lords carrying orbs might be better? and I could look into the deathmark conversions using the surplus warriors...

+++ Foot Necrons (1485pts) +++
+ HQ
* Necron Overlord (195pts) Resurrection Orb (30pts) Staff of Light
* Destroyer Lord (155pts) Resurrection Orb

+ Troops
* 10x Necron Gauss Blaster Immortals (170pts)
* 15x Necron Warrior plus Cryptek (220pts)
* 15x Necron Warrior plus Cryptek (220pts)

+ Fast Attack
* 6x Canoptek Scarab Bases (90pts)
* 6x Canoptek Scarab Bases (90pts)
* 5x Necron Destroyers (200pts)

...
I could drop the destroyers for more scarbs and have a basic scarabs and warriors list and see how that floats?
second list need to get a couple more Cspyders??

I'd say if you are going with a Slow moving foot list, then You probably want Imotekh. He can save a ton of your Guys from taking fire with Night Fighting, while helping fill gaps in Anti-tank with his Lightning. Pair him with a Chornometorn Cryptek, to ensure he can continue Lord of the Storm for a few more turns.

He also has Phaeron, so you can throw him in a large block of warriors, or Immortals with Gauss blasters for the relentless.

Um, which metal models are there in this army? If you have metal Necrons, I might well be up for swapping them for stuff, since I have a few plastics in my all-metal Necron army...

yeah,
metal models
3 wraiths
6 metal immortals
1 tomb spider
1 nightbringer
plus the 3 metal destroyer lord bits (upper body that sits on a plastic destroyer base.)

i just realised that upgrading the crytpeks is quite cheap I should probabily do that.
10pts = 36" as1 str8 anti-tank
Free= 12" ass4 str5 haywire

yeah,
Is this 65warrior led by 4 tooled up lords and 18 scarabs list viable... or silly?

20 warriors Overlord- pheron + orb + warscythe 410pts
15 warriors lord- orb + warscythe 270pts
15 warriors lord- orb + warscythe 270pts
15 warriors lord- orb + warscythe 270pts
6 scarabs 90pts
6 scarabs 90pts
6 scarabs 90pts
1490pts

Short of that what about this next list...

20 warriors Overlord- pheron + orb + warscythe 410pts
14 warriors lord- orb + warscythe 257pts
14 warriors lord- orb + warscythe 257pts
9 spyders - 350pts
5 scarabs - 75pts
5 scarabs - 75pts
5 scarabs - 75pts
1499pts

You'd have to differentiate your NINE SPYDERS, right? To take advantage of WA...?

So, that's 25pts minimum per squad...

yeah,
Is wound allocation in 6th edition?
but yeah taking 6 wounds (at toughness 6) per squad across the three squads and not losing a single model sounds awesome.
and matches the rebustmess of the warriors 4+ WBB with the orbs... the only thing that would make the army harder to kill would be some ghost arcs.

I think first off I just gonna get 72 warriors and 18 scarabs painted and start from there.
