So in another thread there was the statement:

Does anybody else restrict themselves in some way? I've heard of people not using mercs or something similar. Personally, if there is a character jack with an affinity (Beast-09, Nightmare, etc) then I will only use that jack with the relevant warcaster.

No Minions for my Circle...

although that's not really a restriction...kinda hard pressed to find minions that run well with Kaya, Kromac and Baldur

*puts on in- character hat* i refuse to collect a cygnar army. they're dirty, rotten southern yellow-bellied pig-dogs. thats why then again, i play khador, so my viewpoint is understandable.

*takes off character hat* in all honestly though, i have no hang ups about playing anything available to my faction. If i played *other* factions (yes, even cygnar-thunderhead is sexy. so is the new collossal.), i'd feel the same way. why limit yourself?

@Bakerofish: Gatorman work with everything

On topic:
up until now, i never used molik karn, mainly because i wanted to learn how to play the faction without him and therefore become a better player ( im still pretty bad anyway)

I try not to play with unpainted models.

Can be a bit annoying if I start a new faction.

I started playing with my mid to low tier casters first, so that when I eventually moved up to the big ones I had a firm grasp on my units and the beasts abilities, and can function with the crutch of Saeryn/eLylyth/pVayl.

I also avoided both Thagroshes for a really long time, for some reason. Love them both now.

I typically only bring one list to game night and will play it against any match up good or bad.

I never hire any minions. Cold steel and Skorne grit are all I need to get through any obstacle.

I don't know why, but I don't like playing the same faction more than a couple of weeks in a row. I think the longest I have played any faction continuously was when I was running Searforge in a journeyman league.

My official faction choice is "All of the above"

Thats the big thing for me, if its not painted I cant play with it...about as big of a limit I have as it knocks out alot of options.

I won't play with anything if I really don't like the model. And I've had some not-self-imposed restrictions due to the fact that I haven't been able to buy certain trollblood miniatures in a game shop since I started playing (mainly the krielstone) and I didn't want to order them.

I try to play as if I were character restricted.

And I tend to pick favorite models/concepts over power combos. I
do try to make concessions to power by building other parts of
my list to make up for whatever messed up thing I'm trying.
