hey everyone! so I am aiming for the most bad ass chaos bane blade possible, with your help and feed back of course
for the basic structure of the model, I used the storm lord as a base, and added some possible turret and gun configurations
keep in mind, this is just a basic block out to get a rough idea of the basic shapes and stuff,
details like wear and tear, paint,skulls,spikes and chains would come later, here are my WIPs

For some reason i really like the last one and the one with the rocket launchers.

Something about weird looking cannons and raining bombs is very chaos.

I'd go for No.4.... Big guns are cool!

for color, I saw awesome Chaos Bane blades here, I would go with the rusty red, dirty worn out look

I like 3 myself (I'm imagining a giant multi-rocket launcher that pops up from the transport section of the storm lord! ), but 2 isn't bad. Although, I must say, I think doing 2 and 3 together is a bit OTT

I agree. I think it's the muzzle brake that really throws it off. IMHO, either ditch the brake or scale the whole cannon down a bit.

I see your point, I am still playing around with the idea of missile launchers, so nothing is set in stone yet
I'll scale the cannon tomorrow and see how that works.

it seems I had the main body longer than it should, judging by the space between the 2 side cannons, so I scaled that down a bit, did some work on the tracks
I am also experimenting with the idea of a "Mark of Khorne Missile Launcher"

LOVING the Khorne launcher! Go for it! If it were up to me (which it's not), I'd even scrap the main cannon and just build a super Khorne launcher!

I generally support missile launchers, is this model built to play per rules? Or just for fun?

I really like the Khorne launcher, but the cannon must stay!
But maybe you can fit two launchers on the back?

I am aiming for a Chaos Undivided kind of theme, but for a Khorne dedicated bane blade, a super Khorne Launcher version would fit perfectly

I am doing this for fun and the Artistic sense behind it, this is my vision of what the gamesworkshop guys did with how awesome their models are, which to me, is undisputed !

that would mean no barrels behind the tracks, so I decided to re-purpose one of the side cannons into a shielded fuel storage unit, with an infantry operated Heavy bolter or an MG nest.. sort of like a remnant of the Storm Hammer troop carrying ability,

Resized the main cannon a tiny bit, 2nd turret now dead in center, and now DUAL Khorne Launchers




oh, and here is the Three Amigos, just for fun :p

man, this is so fun its confusing! I just love building those parts and combine them in different configs..
the only draw back is, I keep finding new combinations and I get lost which design to follow >_<

so, I made a small suggestion form:
A-How many sponsons? [ 2 center, 2 back, 2 front or 4]
B-Missile launcher? [ 2 or 1 bigger one on top of the engine]
C-Main Turrets? [ cannon on top of miniguns or ditch miniguns for cannon]

A - 2 front, 2 back
B - 2 small ones at the rear
C - cannon on top, keep the miniguns

Hey everyone I finally got a computer yesterday and I am back in business!

I am still not sure how to fit the missile launchers and the secondary turret,which kinda sucks :(
