Okay,

First of all I'm sorry for posting this in the wrong section before!
Please forgive me for my fail of fails.

Okay back to the subject.
My question was:

I have started painting horses and used Skull White and a
black tinned out wash to give them grey shadows.
Does anyone have advice for me?

Tips and Tricks are very, very welcome!

Here is what i did with a white horse. Simple yet effective
1: A Space wolfs Grey Was
2: Small black wash over that.
Now extreme dry brush. Get black paint. and push the brush inbetween the cloth. Drybrush over the model. Then the same with white over that. repeat 3 times.
This is what i got.

That definitely seems like a good and effective way of doing it. Thanks. Any more tips?

White horses are hard to do stictly using GW paints, because they go straight from Codex/Space Wolf/Astronomincan Grey to Skull White with nothing in between. I use a craft paint Eggshell or Antique White as a mid-tone, which makes a world of difference.

Basecoat grey (I ususally use Codex, as it's a bit warmer and more 'alive' than the other two);
Heavy drybrush Eggshell (the grey should pretty much only be visible in the deepest recesses);
A very thin wash (like 10-1 dilution) of Badab Black;
Then a final Drybrush Skull White to brighten the highlights up.

CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER!
My job here is done.

Thanks both of you. I have 6 horses so I was thinking of using the technique.
I'll save start with one, maybe then three and if it looks alright I'll do all of them in a
similar sort of way.
