I'm working on making a conversion based around an Avatar gunship toy.

I want to basically hollow it out and make it look like a Vietnam era Huey with troopers standing on the skids, cargo net chairs, door gunners and all that. A huge issue I've come across is I can't seem to find any figures that are well posed to stand on the skids or even seated with their legs hanging. The scouts for the Land Speeder Storm are really good, but it would be prefferable I use something else since the scouts don't really fit the style I'm going for. If anyone knows any good models, I would really appreciate the help.

In addition, I'm pretty helpless when it comes to green stuff, so I might be able to fake the funk for some leg reposing, but I really don't trust myself to do a decent job with that.

I think there are some Elysian models with legs in just the right pose to act as skid riders. The command squad guys for instance.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Are you doing Guard or SM?

Guard, but it's not Cadian or Catachan. They'll largely be based off the Defiance Games Marines.

Ah I know defiance games well. Can't wait for Panzergrenadiers to be released.
I'm not really sure what to use, then.

I've seen the Elysian soldiers and the seated troopers. They are good, but the issue is they are molded in a row of four, a row of five and a single guy. If I include a door gunner, which I'm hell bent on including, I might have room for one, maybe two troopers sitting on the sides and cutting them apart would be a real problem. The troops with that sort of ducking/running pose look like they might work well. I'm hoping for something else, but those are definately within consideration.
