That's pretty solid. Only issue I see is you over-invested in magic. Too many wizard levels, not enough power dice to make use of them all.

I'd make the lord a level 1, and get the book of arkhan instead (you really want to re-roll misses with black knights).
I'd swap the ogre blade for a lance. (saves ~40 points)
Drop the level 1 necro, and give the dispel to the level 4. (saves 65)
Drop Fear Incarnate from the throne, and I usually swap the 4+ ward for the 4+ vs 1st wound (saves 50 points).

That frees up 155 points. I'd pick up either 5 Hex Wraiths or 3 Vargheists. Both work well with a fast moving vampire general.

The throne works great, the key to it is keeping in the corner of fights to minimize the number of models who can strike it.
Don't over protect the vampire riding it too much, it's just as good without the rider. You may want to shift fear incarnate to the Vampire Lord (which you can do if you go lance instead of ogre blade).

Sorry to necro this thread, but really like this list for making my first Fantasy army (Love the coven throne model. whole reason I am starting a fantasy army) and had some questions.
Would replacing the Ghouls with skeletons completely destroy its effectiveness?
Since the Vampire Lord on the nightmare does not have ethereal movement, the whole Black Knight block would lose it too. Does this hurt their effectiveness and ability to keep close to the Hex Wraiths?

I find Skellies lack a major punch that ghouls have without buffs.
The lack of ethereal movement does not really matter except he has to take dangerous terrain tests for forests and the like. But his unit keeps their movement. I find I move my wraiths to keep up with my knights not the other way round.

I made what I think is a better version of this list title VC 2500 Tournament I think.

I'm liking the revised list a lot. Will give it a field run tonight and see what I can come up with.

I think I'll use the Necro as the General and that way I can throw the VC Lord into combat and not really care if he goes pop?

The Vamp Lord has to be the general due to having the highest LD. Also you need his LD 10 bubble for the throne

Pretty sure all the BK's lose their movement if joined by a character that does not have it. So all would have to make checks. Do not see the point of a musician with zombies. Never had them come close to a tied combat.
I would sack the Master necro, add a second Terrorgheist and find points to put a lvl 1 Necro
Drop the dogs, and if possible drop the Zombies down to 20 man blocks with banners and add a spirit host block
