Right. The majority of views is because people were expecting a witty thread about a finecast review of Sicarius; possibly with some pictures of mold lines haphazardly slicing a poor marines face in half. When you don't see that, they'll probably go. You also have to take into account that the vast majority of people on Dakka don't like Finecast (Apologies for sweeping accusations) and therefore, why would they have one in the first place. Thirdly, those that do own the miniature, probably have already assembled it. Why would you leave a figure hanging around after purchase?

Give it time. People may eventually get around to helping out, the community always does. But whining does not lend yourself any favours. If you're truly stuck, look for some reviews on the internet, be proactive!

I know that's the metal, but finecast uses the same sprue, as far as I know.

Aside from the material used there is zero difference.

Fair point. However there is a higher risk of getting a misscast.

Oddly, one of the few metal miscasts I've had was one of these - the helmet in the hand didn't fill out properly.

Funny, becuse white metal rearely miss casts. The only porblems that I've seen people have have been an head or an arm missing.

Yeah. Luckily enough, the client wanted him helmeted and holding the pistol, so no biggie. Very strange miscast too - smoothed off surface, almost 'smudged' looking.

Usually a miscast in white metal is down to significant and non-correctable warping/shinkage (Metal venerable dreadnought I'm looking at you!) or mould slip- generally this is on larger, thicker pieces. Really quite unusual to get voids.

Must of passed through Quailty control or the manger got his job back when they produced finecast. The thing is if the metal is misscatsed they can melt it down and recast it, with resin you can't.
