I got an Idea: how about Imperial Guardsmen gets Ironman Suits(trust me, we only using movie version of Ironman suits)?

here's the backstory: the Ironman Suit technology that Tony Stark invents in Ironman Movies are found by Adeptus Mechanicus as Ancient Technology that buried deep below a Hive City that used to be a site where Tony Stark's mansion are located, and since the Imperial Guard is always looking for the ways of minimizing their own casualties while maximizing their killing blows, they need the Technology of Ironman Suits, but the suits are downgraded: only Squad leaders that can fly, in order to mass produces them for Imperial GUard

Imperial Guard with Ironman Suits(counts as Elites for Imperial Guard Army)

here's their stats:

IG in Ironman suits: Ws 3, Bs 4, S 4, T 3, W 1, I 4, A 2, Ld 7, Sv 3+

IG Sergeant in Ironman Suits: Ws 3, Bs 4, S 4, T 3, W 1, I 4, A 3, Ld 8, Sv 3

Squad Size: 6 person(up to 5 for Imperial Guardsmen with Ironman Suits with 1 IG Sergeant With Ironman Suits)

Wargear: Ironman suits in general counts as Power Armor

Regular Guardsmen with Ironman suits will gets combinations of following weapons installed in their wrists(they can uses up to 2 wrist mounted weapons, one weapons for each wrists and each guardsmen can't uses same weapons in both of their wrists): Multi Laser, Heavy Bolter, Autocannon, Heavy Stubber, Grenade Launcher, Plasma Gun, Lascannon, Assault Cannon, Flamer, Meltagun, Multi Melta, Heavy Flamer, and Plasma Cannon. each Guardsmen are also have Shoulder-mounted Missile Launchers and Anti-personnel Laser gun

and Imperial Guard Sergeant with Ironman Suits are only gets Chainfists on left wrists and Twin-linked Bolters in right wrists. but they can fly

Special Rules for Imperial Guard infantry with Ironman Suits: Flight(they can pass any impassable terrain, but this is only available to sergeant), Anti-personnel laser gun(when Guardsmen in Ironman Suits are surrounded by enemy infantry, inflicts 2D6 damages at Enemy infantry that surrounds and corners IG with Ironman Suits)

Note: we are only using Movie Versions of Ironman suits

what do you think?

Well, that is quite a bit. What are you thinking of as a price estimate.

Also, what is the point if only the sergeant can fly? They still have to fight as a unit, so unless everyone else is killed it probably won't do anything. Also it could be represented as jump infantry pretty easily.

They should be more expensive than marines and guardsmen combined.

These are really powerful...

I'm thinking 25 points a unit, then you have to buy the upgrades for their relative prices in the IG codex.

Although... I don't think they should get half the weapons you listed!

Wrist mounted autocannons?!

Because they are:

As good at shooting as Marines
As strong as Marines
As well-armored as Marines
MORE attacks than Marines
MORE mobile than Marines
MORE weapons than Marines
MORE variety of weapons than Marines
BETTER than Marines in versatility

Are you seriously trying to tell us they are not as good as Marines? :|

These seem unneeded in the current in the current IG army list and are quite OP.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

This is true TBH, people may not think of Guard when they think of OP, but they are a very reliable army and Vets are probably one of the best units in the game for their price. With regards to the unit, I assumed it was a purely just for fun unit, like "Hey, lets have a game where we each make a random unit based off of a super hero."

This.

Oh, and my obligatory 'this is ridiculously OP, is not needed, does not add anything creative or unique, and breaks the fluff''.

*Edit* I'd say 11pts per model. If its going to be OP, might as well go the whole nine yards. They should be scoring troops too. And have upgraded chimeras with AV13/12/10 and a turret mounted MM at BS4 for 50pts.

@CthululsSpy - That was rather harsh... surely gently pointing the guy in the right direction is more friendly? Rather than ridiculing his ideas? I don't know whether you have tried that before, and if you have, then I'm sorry for posting this. But otherwise, don't do that to someone.

Space Marines are genetically altered through gene therapy, and are Chemically enhanced with combat drugs. thousands and thousands of years of experimentation and advancements have gotten space Marines to
WS:4 BS:4 S:4 T:4 I:4 W:1 Ld:8
a Basic civilian human does not have that good of stats
WS:2 BS:2 S:2 T:2 I:2 W:1 LD:6
After Years of heavy training and advance study Imperial guard get to
WS:3 BS:3 S:3 T:3 I:3 W:1 LD:7
After Years of heavy Combat experience those Imperial guard become Vets
WS:3 BS:4 S:3 T:3 I:3 W:1 LD:7

Space Marines already have Power armor similar to Iron Man which gives them a 3+ save. Iron Man armor for Imperial guard would be like upgrading from flak armor to Carapace armor, just be going to Power armor.

going from 5+ to 4+ cost 3 pts so going from 5+ to 3+ should cost 8 pts....

I would say civs are T3 S3, actually.
Look at conscripts, those are civilians, and they are S3 T3

The difference between 3 and 4 is pretty big in the game. I do agree that they should be WS2 BS2.

Fixed

I like it as an idea, but right now it needs a serious overhaul of what weapons they can take, points cost, etc.
