GW's website isn't very helpful with this. Are there Thousand Sons multi-part plastic sets? I found a box of them at my FLGS, but they are in a older box and are a mix of plastic spures with metal parts. Don't know if there's a newer 100% plastic box out there, and am not going to buy one with metal unless I have to.

No, I think they are plasric models with Metal heads.

If you wanted to, you could take Tomb Kings and Chaos Marines and kit bash.

They are six metal front torsos and eight metal heads. There are also two pair of metal arms and a pair of metal loin clothes and bolters in the box.
The sorcerer champ is all metal, the rest is plastic

Also, they're a goddamn nightmare to put together. The parts don't quite match up much of the time, and metal and plastic aren't friends.

Yeah, you need super glue for the metal torso and head, but after that you can make do with pastiche glue as you have a plastic back part for it all to stick to

I use super glue on everything, and it still sucks for hybrid models. Metal/plastic hybrid kits deserve a special place in hell.

Metal on metal joins hold better when pins are involved. Regardless, metal hybrid models are why I don't mind Finecast one iota. Anything that gets us away from them will make the world a better place, even if there are some quality control growing pains. I've got an Iron Warriors army that took me two years to build even though it wasn't that big. The reason? Every model is a metal/plastic hybrid from hell.

Could be worse. They could be Noise Marines.

Noise Marines are a nightmare to put together, I never want to do such a feat again.
