I need to model (3) San. priests and I need some suggestions on what I could use for the red grail that the priests carry in thier hand, similar to the one that Corbulo carries, does anyone have any suggestions and/or what have you used for the grail. Thanks.

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies. |

ive seen people improvise with a Lego chalice, but I think it looks terrible. For my San Priest in Terminator armor, I bought the chalice from the space hulk game on ebay. See my gallery for pictures. If your wanting to add a chalice to a marine in normal armor though, you might have to just scour local craft stores / hobby stores and keep your eyes open. You could always try to mold one from green stuff as well.

If you find it hard to find chalices, you could always use the normal apothecary arms unless you play with some real sticklers

Only Corbulo holds a Blood Chalice. The other Priests have a shard of diffrent blood chalices due to there not being many left.

I didn't know that, so the regular priests don't carry one into battle? So just model them with a chainsword and a bolt pistol then?

Maxmini has an accessory set with some chalices that are about the right scale. I'm sure there are places in the US you could find them.

I thought Corbulo holds the Red Grail and the other priests have replicas that they call Blood Chalice. At least that's how it was in the first BA Omnibus
@sub-zero I haven't found any chalices that you can put in the priest's hand but I use the chalice decorated armor pieces found in the DC box. I've also seen someone scrape off the chalice off some armor (should pad maybe?) and glue to the hip of the model to look like it is fastened there. I don't trust my knife skills enough for this.

Corbulo holds the Red Grail. Per the most recent codex, there are very few other chalices left so as mentioned above, most have a shard of a chalice in their narcethium.
GW actually makes a Sanguinary Priest model, and it just uses a regular apothecary army with plenty of Blood Angels bling. I can't directly link from work, but check out the elite section of the Blood Angels section of their site. Alternatively, you can also use a regular apothecary. If you're wanting to go for the chalice look, these still could be suitable starts if you wished.

Or whatever you want them to have. Here let me throw one of my recent Priests up. His Jump Pack is magnetized. Now the Noviate in the Honour Guard I believe has a chalice but they dont have any extra wargear.

Green stuff, really the easiest thing i ever made using the stuff. (a few old WIP shots of kitbash corbulo)
other than that, the same as lys, i have generally just used apothecary arms and stuff to kitbash my priests.
