Hi All

I am going to ask a very noob question please forgive me for still not knowing this.

Ghost Shot - Ignore LOS, concealment and cover when making attacks.

My question is in this scenario.

1. eg I have 5 Exemplar Bastions surrounding my warcaster base to base contact.

2. Revenant Cannon Crew makes a ranged attack (Ghost Shot rule) does it actually hit only the war caster as he indicated? or it has to still clear my Bastions since they are screening my warcaster?

Thx Loon

What do you mean by clear?

In this game, LOS determines whether or not you can attack
something.

If you can draw LOS to it, you can attack it.

Since Ghost Shot ignores LOS, you can attack the warcaster.

Thank you for the reply.

Basically I have a warcaster surrounded by Bastions that are all base to base contact with him/her (surrounded in a circle with no direct LOS)

As Malfred stated Ghost shot ignores LOS. So I am taking it, if the unit with ghost shot has enough range to the warcaster, even if warjacks/other units are blocking direct LOS to the warcaster it can still hit it.

Thank you for the clarification

Loon

I'm not sure how you are describing your situation but if it's the opponents caster and your Bastions then you still suffer the -4 penalty for shooting into melee. Ghost shot allows just what it says in that you ignore cover, concealment and, LoS but it doesn't ignore any other modifier that may apply to the situation.

Leo, may want to re-read his example. It's HIS Caster surrounded by HIS Bastions to block LOS.

He was asking if Ghost Shot would allow his Caster to still be shot in that situation, which it does. Although yes, the enemy would still suffer the -4 penalty if for some reason they wanted to shoot their own 'Caster through his units.

Thank you all for the kind replies. Now in regards to the -4 penalty, would someone be kind enough to reference the page where I can find this?

Thx again

Its under Targeting a model in melee. In the Hordes book its on pg 58. If you just have Prime (not sure where my copy is atm) look in the Index under melee, targeting a model in

Thx Maxus

I'll scan through my Mark 2 book once I get home, I'd thought it be under ranged attack or something instead of melee! I'll make sure I'll have a good read tonight!

Thx again

If you warcaster is engage with an enemy model it gets plus 4 def. I think from your example your caster is just behind the bastions meaning his not engage so it would be just a normal to hit attack without modifiers.
