Running one in my list, basically wondering if anyone knows if theres a model for this (the book says no) or if they have any indication that a model might be made for this?
I'm at the point where I want to make my warshrine, generally I'm planning to build it up as some monstery type thing with a stone alter chained to its body being pulled along by 2 warriors of chaos, as the description describes its basically a chariot.

I was also wondering before I go ahead and make my own, in addition to what I've already asked :F if anyone wouldn't mind sharing or showing how they model or represent there warshrine?

Pick a monster/chariot model, place spikes and stuff on top.

The new Empire war altar or wizard cart things would be a great place to start work on a warshrine conversion.

I will be making a Slaanesh one for sure but no idea what to put on it yet as most of my ideas would probably need to be censored lol

I used a corpse cart for mine, just put some chaos icons instead on the bells and bats.

Mine is Tzeentch, I also used a corpse cart of bodies, kept the brazier and lanterns with blue flames and added chaos horses and the gamesday champion holding up an elf with a mutation head. Looks very tzeentchy.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

hmm corpse cart could work, though id of gone that way more likely were I nurgle. I kind of want like, a living alter or something. I've been browsing monsters but its hard to find one that will suitably carry such an alter on its back is one of the biggest problems >.< though some of the hordes miniatures look promising.

I haven't seen any of the new empire engines actually they could be pretty good to convert for chaos

Living altar eh? Sounds cool.
Maybe a HPA? That looks fairly fleshy. Just file away the skaven stuff, replace it with chaos stuff, and make the rat parts into human parts (somehow. GS may be required)

Hmm, perhaps though it'l be a mission and a half to make a HPA not look like a HPA xD

Shouldn't be too hard. You might just have to make it a bit more...deformed. Nothing a good amount of GS can't handle.

My Tzeentch Warshrines are essentially oversized Disks on 40mm bases with lots of spiky bits, chaos shields, and lightining arcing accross them.

I like the freedom the lack of a model gives you when building them. No restriction on base size or exact form means you can let your imagination go wild.

I've seen a khorne warshrine converted from an empire steam tank (with lots of spikes and skulls) and looked great.

However, most people go the corpse cart or old chaos chariot way.

I did mean Skrag sorry for the bad spelling. I thought he would look cool as a warsrine.

Personally Im going the way of a daemon prince carrying a large sack and having some warhounds on a leash. The idea is he is like santa passing out gifts of chaos muahaha.

Why a facepalm? That is actually one of the funniest ideas for chaos I have ever heard-and it's guaranteed to be original. If it looks good, rock on. The image in my head looks AWESOME.

The next book (which supposedly isn't that far away) could change that though, we'll see.

I have been looking at the new Empire wagons as possible conversion candidates, pulled by Khorne Juggernauts or other Chaos beast-steeds, but they will perhaps prove to be too large (or too much removing of Empire icons), so Idk.

The Skaven WLC or VC Corpse Cart are other bases to possibly build upon.

I think they did that with Skragg, actually.
I recall seeing a santa conversion of him.

I will still be allowed to use my scratch builds because at one time there wasn't a legal model.

Well I have a piece of scenary from GW, the one for that winds of magic I think. I have the arcane torrent I use for a disk so I actually have an alter/throne ready to be mounted on the back of something I just keep ordering stuff that turns out to be way too small >_>;
