Hi Dakka,

This is my first post of a mini, so apologies if the painting is laughable and the pic quality is poor, but i digress anyway.

This was my first bloodletter i painted. I used the new paint range, which i thought were brilliant.

I am genuinly pleased with this mini, and will be over the moon if my army of daemons is painted to this quality.

Some C&C would be very helpful in the development of my painting skill and overall quality of the model.
Thanks for taking a look

The pictures are not showing up for me.

Looks pretty good to me, the pic is slightly blurry so its kind of hard to see the finer details but all in all I'd say looks great for a first timer.

Cheers Death. I agree, the camera quality is minimal. Will be sure to do better next time

In terms of the horns, how should i transist between the black horn and the read body. At the moment, i have a solid cut off, but im not sure what other method i should use

I had the same problem with my berzerkers, couldn't decide what to do with the horn tips. I'm still not sure what to do with them. Have a look http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/432593.page

I'd say maybe blend it a bit more for yours, or maybe even streaks like this.

It does seem like the majority of people do them solid black though, according to my google search.

It might take a while, but that blend will look good.

The next model i do will definately have the blend.

Thanks

When I was starting out, I found washes an easier way to achieve the blended horns look. Might be worth trying.
