Hi guys,
I finally painted my landspeeder.
As you may or may not know it's derived from a landspeeder storm. I used the crew to create some variation in my scout squads, leaving me with the remaining speeder.
So I bought some plastic card and covered the hatches.

I can run it as a typhoon or with 1-2 multimeltas. All the options are magnetized, allthough the second multimelta option (including a marine) isn't painted yet.

I consider the speeder/scout squad as my best kitbash/conversion to this point (not including single models like HQ).
It's fairly well executed me thinks, considering the fact that it was my first use of plastic card.

I hope you enjoy it!

Greetings, Tom

Very nice! Maybe add side windows? The small windows seem a little off. Excellent conversion though

I was thinking about that. Could be done in no time.
Maybe there are more votes on this? ^^

More windows can't hurt, btw it looks just like a forgeworld landspeeder that's an aircraft rather than a skimmer.

The tempest?

Yep. I got the idea of the enclosed cockpit from that thing.
I think it makes more sense for such an high speed vehicle to have a bit more protection for the crew.

I like it, but I can imagine a Royal Mail symbol on the side!

I like it. If it were a kit option, I would definitely build it that way.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

I think it looks really good, b-b-but. I don't think the front windows are anywhere near the standard you set with the rest of the model. I think you could rectify this both easily and quickly.

I'd simply measure the windows, cut out 2 matching pieces of styrene that size (pretty thick, close to 1/8th). I'd then cut an additional (thinner) plate as a "mail slot" to peep through, center that atop the plates, rivet the edges, prime and paint, and just glue right atop the existing windows.

It's a great conversion regardless, though!

GW should just release a small sprue with the landspeeder for an option to make it enclosed.

painting the riders is time consuming and annoying.

This is cool. It looks like a real futuristic military vehicle. Other than the bright red paint

Thanks for the constructive critique. There are so many people on different forums commenting on the windows I simply have to change them. ^^
I will post the changes when I'm done with the gunner of the second multimelta.

Cheers.

Very well done, the best part of it is it really doesnt look like a conversion, it was pulled off well enough that I think it looks like a stock model
