Are they doing another marine codex that avoided the rumor radar? Or is it something to do with the Tanrak Campaign?

I'm guessing based on last month with the Warhammer based battle report advertised. GW are going on a 'well were advertising something for next month' rather than nothing at all because they won't mention the new releases.

That's what I was thinking, there has got to be something big next month if the thing they advertise is a battle report

Well, while physically big, an apocalypse game would be disappointing with all the flyer rumors going around. Still, they could just be showing off the new bike upgrade kits using White Scars.

Let's be honest, everybody loves the tin foil hat brigade. Back OT, is the next WD out next week? I'm hoping for another piece of the spine to scan.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

They just started a large Necron Planetstrike campaign, I take that the last page refers to that continuing.

I do have to say, "Good Job" to White Dwarf... this is the first White Dwarf that I actually bought (mostly for the Necron Apoc formations... not that I'm likely to run them in the near future)

May's came out on Saturday. So the next one will be in four weeks.

I assumed this is to do with the battle report. however it did have Orks, Nids and Necrons in the picture along side the WS. Make of that what you will.

Or the rumour that a new Necron, Space Marine and Ork flier are coming out in June. What better way to show them than with a battle report that features all 3 armies?

Well since Tyranids were also pictured and like Necrons are waiting on a model for their "flyer" unit it seems likely that if this is a fliers release it will include the Harpy too.

Can't see any Tyranids in that picture at all.

Another marine codex? Sweet!

I've always thought that 40K needs more Space Marine Codices. It's been far too long since GW has released a Marine Codex, and the White Scars really need a codex of their own.

Who knows... But I sincerely doubt it has anything to do with them getting there own codex. They are and always have been a part of Codex Space Marines as they follow the chapter organization laid out in the Codex Astartes.

GW and the vast amount of their customers agree with you.

This explains why the Necron and Dark Eldar releases were universally poorly received.

Also why GW will soon be releasing "Space Knights" for WHFB to revitalize that failing product line. And "Middle Earth Marines" to increase sales in LOTR.

-_-

Seriously. I just think that the lack of official news and announcement has induced a form of paranoïa in the customers of GW, which could be dubbed ''rumourphobia'' or ''newsphobia'', and that could be described as :

The see/hear a mundane picture, a word, a sentence, a little dog on the street, a rumour on a website, a sound or other stimuli and to firmly believe that it is is in fact an implicit secret message that GW intend to deliver about a incredible future product which will enhance the game of Warhammer 40, 000, while in fact GW doesn't give a crap about its customers, stays in its Ivory Tower somewhere in the UK, and never communicate with its customers, except via their What's New Toay page, which is totally useless and crappy.
Secondary symptoms can include : Headaches, lack of sleep because spending to much time of the DakkaDakka forums searching for rumours and news, Obesity (because always sitting at your computer waiting for news), Anorexia (because no one is there to bring you food at the computer and you made the vow to never eat until your favorite army receive a proper codex), extreme aggressivity when discussing about some random rumours that just came in, antipathy toward human relations outside of the W40k hobby, learning new languages (to enable further rmours search in foreign countries forums), eye damage (because always starring at a computer screen), and possible suicide attempt (either because your tired of waiting for news, or your army just received a new codex you consider crappy, or because your armyr now has models which are twice the prices you once paid for them (hey, an army can wait for years before having a new codex) or just because your life incredibly sucks, or a combination of all these.

Warhammer, knights of the old empire. Coming soon!
I'm optimistically hoping for flyers, but expecting a show off of the new fine cast upgrades. Only time will tell. Or a good leak.

Clearly the Steamtank was an effort by AdMech infiltrators to introduce technology to the feral world. Skaven are probably Space Marines with a horrible gene-seed defect.

Since we're all speculating here, I have $10 in internet monies that it's a battle report. Perhaps with models recently switched to finecast.

Ahh.. bitcoin. Surprised there's no scan on BOLS or somewhere yet for all the people who think it's a chaos space marine on the spines.

Or, as recent rumormongers suggest, using new flyers for both Orks and Marines...from GW.
