I played a game using a proxied version of the list above.

I lost a very bloody game against a DE Venom Spam army that tabled me in 4 turns.

It was a very enjoyable game, but I don't think Marines are an army for me.

I strongly dislike Mech lists and I thought I'd give it a try again, but now I definitely no what army I'll be collecting.

The one with no Mech at all.

I'm going to try my hand at Tyranids.

I know they are far from competitive and the Codex isn't that great, but hey at least it won't be Mech.

Is there anything I should really look out for with a Tyranid army? What works in a good Nid Army?

Depends if your playing with friends or not, we only have one pure nid player in the group so we just let him carry on using 4ed, much more of a fun challenge for us and he doesnt feel cheated

A lot of my friends are tournament players, so I want to go for a competitive Tyranid list.
