What's the time limit before it makes a new post and doesn't auto append? I couldn't find any mention in the FAQs

There is none that I know of.

It just does it if your post is the latest post in a thread and you post again.

I've posted on a thread of my own where it made a new post instead of appending to my previous one, but it had been several days.

I want to say it is something like 6 hours or so.

I think its actually more like 24 hours.

It's more than that. When made this thread, I had just updated one of my blogs around 18-20 hours after my last post and it auto appended.

I thought some of the different forums have different Auto Append times.

A couple of forums have it deactivated, but everywhere else is 24 hours. Different timings presumption comes about because of attachments blocking the auto append usually.

I guess my mistake was not loading the pics to gallery, but just dropping in links. I see.
