rather than get the boxes or bits online for cyclone missile launchers I figured I'd use the deathwind missile launchers that I never put in my drop pods. what do you think, does it work or is it kind of goofy, as a primarily ork player I kind of like em but not sure how the imperium players would feel about it, would you accept them as cyclone missile launchers for tac termies or call foul and say it isn't the correct model?

a bit big, but they look alright, maybe try cutting them to be a tad thinner? they sit a bit tall

Yeah, this looks fine.

No doubts in my mind that it's a terminator carrying a super missile launcher.

They look just fine. And according to the LoS rule, neither they or the standard CMLs count for LoS purposes (as they're weapons), so there's no game downside.

I'd play against them.

They're perfectly recognisable as Cyclones on those terminators. That said, aesthetically, they look like gak, imo.

It's normally from the model rather than the weapon, like on Broadsides for example/

the actual models to me look awkward to begin with. I might build the sides out with bigger rokkits on either side later to represent krak missiles instead of frag missiles but for now i just wanted somethign that would count as a wysiwyg.

I will say I am building my marines up for a counts as blood angels army that mostly fights orks (my main army) and due to supply problems thanks to being bassed on the fringes of imperium space they are having to adapt orkish ways in maintaining and upgrading their equipment, I have even adapted some of my orks to hold my marines weapons and my marines to use ork weapons. my heavy bolters are big shootas and some of my orks are using heavy dolters as big shootas... i kind of wanted a different look to marines outside of the normal everything being the same but i knwo some people want everything to be uniform which works fo rthem

They do look kinda goofy, but are quite obvious as to what they are supposed to be.

Yup, check the rule book - weapons don't count for LoS purposes.

I thought about using deathwinds on my termies, but ended up using IG sentinal missile launchers. They are smaller and look more proportional. I've never had anyone have a problem, and I doubt you will. I've seen pics on here of folks using typhoon missile launchers as cyclones, and those are way bigger and goofier looking.

Wow those BT look identical to mine! Even down to the red storm bolters and white trim on the cyclones. Great minds must think alike.

The Sentinel ones are nice. Another way of getting more cyclones is to use the bits from a typhoon launcher. With some GS and a knife they look rather nice.

Nah, i was just pointing how big can be a CMS, look at the ones on the pic: they are HUGE, and those are terminator armors with CMS (just pre-heresy).

They do look a bit tall and boxy, but still very playable.
I also prefer the IG Sentinal missile pod for both Cyclone and Typhoon Launchers...but I like the Typhoon launcher for my SoB Exorcist.
