I know vehicles cant be locked in, but if you assault it, and it does not move during it next movement phase, do you get to do CC in its controlling players assault phase?

No.

You have to declare an assault each time, on your turn, if you want to attack it.

Past that, the vehicle and your units are never locked into combat.

BRB Page 63 says you're incorrect Kharrak.

4th paragraph, right side spells out that you can beat on a vehicle during its assault phase if you're still in contact with it.
You obviously won't get a charge bonus though.

Yes if a vehicle is immobilized or can not move, if you are still locked in CC as the vehicle did not move you may swing at it in the opponents assault phase. Have used this to my advantage on many occasion, eps orks and PK Nobz

This also leads to an abuse of the rules.

1 Charge vehicle, get extra attacks and assault bonuses, stun it
2 auto hit vehicle in opponents assault phase
3 move away from vehicle in your movement phase
4 Assault it again, and get the bonus all over again.

Fun way to abuse the nid AG+Assault rule against mech spam.

That's not an abuse of anything other than your opponent's choice to not move his vehicle...

I know. I hate it when people abuse rules like this. Of course it is not near as abusive as the rule that lets people move, fire, and then assault with certain weapons. You want to talk about game changing abuse of rules. And it's perfectly legal.

How is that an abuse of rules? 0_o
If someone has made a choice to not learn a lesson and stay parked there, it deserves to get hit again.

The one reason to stay there would be if said vehicle was immobilised, and its 90% dead then anyway.

you dont need to move away, you can simply declare an assault in your turn and get the +1 attack, and FC if you have it. You are not locked in combat, thus you can declare a charge.

You might want to move 5" out, shoot, and then charge back in to make sure your shooting doesnt blow the vehicle up. on the other hand you can shoot at a differet target, and then in your cc round attack the vehcile. You cannot declare an assault against a unit other than the one you shot at, but in CC you can strike anything you are in btb with.

Just to clarify you are not "locked in". You can be shot just fine. Also. If you stun a vehicle it can not move so you auto hit on your opponents turn. (if your still there of course.)

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.
