Oh and you will find a desert biome at some point, i always spawn in a world with one of them appearing XD

I just found a small desert on my way back to base. It was hidden amongst some mountains covered with snow I walked past before.

I finished my arboretum and at the moment I've expanded off from my bridge onto that small square island. IT's going to be my new tower!

I want a sandstone castle. Cartographer assures me there are cacti on my map somewhere but I haven't seen them

Playing around with TnT and redstone in my invedit game before I start playing around with it on my real game. I have five tnts thus far, which isn't an excessively large explosion but it's pretty nice nonetheless.

Good guess but not quite there, he is from a game however. I think by that hint alone its narrowed it down a fair bit lol.

Go to that site and search Motoko, and 4 choices will appear, then just upload it onto minecraft.net and jobs done.

There is a slight problem using a female skin though, they have a very manly grunt when they get hurt.

Aww, can only change skins if I pay. Heh. Ah well, I have a skin I chose, for whenever I get the chance to pay.

I use a custom skin for offline but it doesn't work with texture packs.

All you need to do is download the skin. Then open minecraft.jar with winrar and go into the mob folder. Name the skin you downloaded to char.png. Then drag and drop.

This however replaces the default skin for the character. It doesn't work with the Painterly Pack I'm using, but you could always extract the existing char.png so you can remove the skin later if you wanted.

Tried replacing the character's skin with the Creeper one once. Just end up with a floating two legged Creeper.

You should drop a tnt box or three on them. Sure, it'll damage your house a bit, but it'll be completely worth it.

Whats the best way to find and kill creepers I need alot of TNT to seperate my tower with the other half of the cliff

I use a giant water trap to farm creepers. If I stand at the collection area and set it to hard in options, I get about 2 of them a minute. does not sound massive but I just craft away while waiting for the drops.

Googling Minecraft water lava trap should get you some ideas.

Go to the minecraft wiki and look up "Mob farm". It's a bit labor intensive to set up, and I'm not 100% certain when they built it on the bedrock, but it cranks out a ton of drops. It's on my "to do" list right after finishing the perimeter wall of my new castle.

Creepers are fun to hunt, just for the lols really not if ur wanting the drops. Stone sword - check, right time to go hunt creepers!

Probably not.

If you want to play around with TNT hunting creepers by hand is not going to get you anywhere. You've got to build a mob farm or three and go about it that way.

Yep, got to mob farm or use invedit.

As a side note, I'm working on a new project right now. Five 20x20x5 buildings. First one is about twenty above sea level, next one is about twenty five (starts twenty from the top of the first), next one thirty, next one thirty five, etc. All of them apparently floating off the ground save for a single bridge on the first one, and connected to eachother. It's taking a LOT of time and cobblestone, but it's been interesting and a great way to keep monsters out of my hair while I'm toying around with redstone.

Well I've started construction on my mob fam, and lucky me I get a lava lake in the middle of it

I'm down to the last 19 rows of clearing the 50 x 50 x 2 room out.
That's alot of cobblestone !

I've been having lots of fun with mobs at night recently, I've noticed a lack of spiders on my world so far, which is irritating because I need string (or whatever it's called) to make a bow. The few spiders I have found have been difficult to kill.

This is a picture of my tiny base and surrounding area:

I decided to replace all the dirt with glass so I could watch the mobs flock around my house, it's fun. I put the lava on the top because you can't place torches on glass and it works great as a light source.

Well it's finally finished and up and running and churning out some decent numbers, I'll leave it running for a bit and then get soem screenshots for you.

I've got no real use for the lava yet, I think it looks nice as it is and the screams of the occasional farm animal which dies a fiery, painful death makes me smile.

I think I'll dig down to bedrock and start branch mining, I don't really feel like making a real house, my glass box is fine for now. I'm toying with the idea of making some kind of glass observation deck hovering in the air so I can watch the mobs and fire arrows at them every now and again.
