+1
They really are a great bunch of guys, plus psychostorm and thunderpup seem to be on the threads 24/7 so they will always have an answer for a question or a suggestion with painting and modelling.
Oh and about Infinity being complex, try compiling the 40k rulebook and every single special rule to be found in every codex and supplement (planetstrike etc) and see what kind of reaction you get when you thump it down in front of a new player and tell them to read it and learn every rule by heart!
My suggestion is to pick an army, pick the models you like and learn the rules that apply to them... it will be a lot easier to start with and if someone else drops down a figure with a rule you don't know then they should have the rules to hand or they don't get to use them, just my 2 cents

There's definitely a lot more to the game itself though concerning Infinity. You have to think a lot more about what you are doing, although I'm not sure how much of that is from years of playing GW systems and having a furrow ploughed into my brain about what moves I should make on the tabletop.
It would be interesting to see what a player new to both games would make of them - I would tend to think Infinity would be slightly more intuitive, as combat (despite the fantastical element of both systems) behaves somewhat more like you could imagine it to happen in real life, in terms of the reactive system.

As someone coming from a 40k background, the organization of the book seemed a bit questionable.
There is a seemingly arbitrary distinction between equipment and skills. The ability to camouflage due to thermoptic equipment or camo netting is listed as a "skill". The ability to detect such hidden enemies is listed as "equipment" (multispectral visors). In pure mechanics, these concepts perform rather similarly; however, they're two sections apart with the weaponry section listed in between.
The "skills" section lists several actions you can do as an action or ARO. However, the "special skills" section details a bunch of 'special' skills that are passive, innate, or can be performed as an action. A rather strange mix.
The listings that detail how various skills function is extensive. They list some really common "special skills" such as Valor and Doctor alongside some unique specific skills such as Ghost:Jumper L1 and Seed-Embryo that only appear on specific models.
To be honest, I prefer the 40k way of doing things where 'universal rules' such as Furious Charge, Fleet, and Feel No Pain are listed in a generalized area whereas more unit-specific rules such as Brood Telepathy or Fanatical are listed under their own unit descriptions. 40k also doesn't seem to differentiate too much from non-weapon wargear and special abilities; Kharn's listing shows his weapon "Gorechild" as a listing alongside his ability "The Betrayer" and they are both, game-mechanically, abilities of his.
tl;dr: The Infinity Rulebook has questionable organization for some coming from a Warhammer background. The Infinity Wiki clears things up just fine.

IMO the organisation of the 40K codexes is very poor.
As a Tyranid player I have units such as the Tervigon which use as many as 15 different special rules (biomorphs, space magic powers, etc) which are explained on eight separate pages in different sections of two separate books -- the codexes and the main rulebook.
That's ignoring the basic characteristics and weapon stats.

The big difference in complexity of 40k and Infinity is that there is a lot more to remember for things you can do in infinity and the is basically a ton of USRs that almost all the armies have access to. That being said, since the rules and info is out there for free, it makes learning the rules and referencing the rules a TON easier. Not sure what something does? Pull out your smartphone and wiki it lol.
The Chimera and Pupniks makes perfect sense since Nomads are a complete "free" peoples they have all of the Dark things that come with that. One of which is the Praxus Black Laboratories inwhich genetic altering is a big seller. The Chimera is an undercover officer that is genetically modified to the point where it is barely every human anymore so that it can infiltrate underground black market trading.

Beengo. That right there is why so many of us are flocking to Inifinity. It's really different from 40K both rules-wise and culturally. And they understand that giving something vlauable away can actually result in business returned, unlike GW who are stingy even with rumors.

I don't think that the strength of the wiki on the spot can be understated. Having that resource at the table, something searchable and up-to-date with actual faqs is so incredibly useful it beats looking it up in the rulebook every time. I mean literally, we can race and someone on the phone will get there faster, and faster is better. The more Infinity can play up its strengths as the future of wargaming, both in form and function, the better. Their army builder is fantastic, and with a couple of accessibility tweaks it could completely reinvent the genre.

'Sup, WA gamer? Come check out our Infinity scene in Bellingham. We're going to go whole hog on this thing.
There is a real resurgence underfoot that shouldn't be underestimated. I think they had a first wave bump a couple of years ato, but there's a real thirst out there for something new and good in sci-fi, and this fills both of those. The tools for a successful boom have been laid. There are a couple of steps Corvus Belli could take to really kick this thing off.
A softbound rulebook with proper index would be great. small form factor. They're already working with Battlefoam, so shoot for the small bag size, a minidex like GW has been at. Rules only, and current, with a proper index as written by the fans. Second, an actual outrider program. People are champing at the bit to display this stuff. Make it easier to get starter models out there. Support your pushers.

I would love a small form factor rulebook.
Despite my well-known bias against GW, I do appreciate the practicality of an A5, rules only (no fluff) book for portability and cost effectiveness.

Aside from the wings and armament, that concept looks very similar to the Haqqislam Asawira
http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2011/miniatures/asawira-regiment-2/
Copyright 2009, eh?
Either way, that bag is both too big for a game like Infinity and an awkward size. If Battlefoam insists on not making bags in the de facto 'standard' 7.5"x13" size, at least make bags in a size compatible with your own product.
Currently, this bag makes no sense. Old players already have trays for their Infinity miniatures and this oversized bag won't hold their trays; plus, they're the ones that would want this collectible miniature. New players likely won't care about a limited edition miniature and they may end up buying a awkward-sized bag to store all 10 miniatures they own.
As an aside, that Beasts of War picture is really awkward with both the misspelling and the horribly out-of-scale TAG (which new people may mistake for the Yuan Yuan).

not impressed Battle Foam/Beasts of War...

So... in the last page a couple of us were talking about Uxia McNeill and we agreed that the mini could look better. Now, I'm lurking the official Spanish forum and I see this poll thread: Poll: Wulver girl VS Uxia. OP of that thread was present in a tournament where two of the creators of the game attended too. He says that he asked them in repeated times "Make a Wulver girl! Make a Wulver girl!". Finally, one of the creators got tired and said something like: Ok, we'll make one. Open a poll in the forum and if you get enough support, we'll make it. But then you'll have to choose between a new Uxia and a new Wulver girl. And there they are, voting. What would you choose? Do you really think that CB will listen the crowds? If you think they'll hear them then... you might be interested in voting. Personally, I would like to see a female Wulver, but actually I would like to see a resculpt of the male one too. But I think Uxia's mini has aged worse, I would vote Uxia.

Yes CB listens to the "Crowds", re. rules fix in 2nd edtion and Tag Pilots Model are just a few things they listened to. So vote CB really dose care what we think.

Aye, I'll be voting Uxia later as well.
Although the female Wulver would be interesting, its got a chance of one day getting a figure as well, especially if enough folks show an interest by voting.
However, I'd like to see CB start on more second generation mini's for certain characters. It's a natural step in the growth of a company thats getting some years behind it. Some of my fave Confrontation figs where the second attempt of a former figure.

In my view, CB is doing fine with their process.
They still have some important units without models (Netrods) and they're doing well towards remedying that. Every month, they produce some of the highest quality miniatures, usually one or more for each faction - much more than most other companies out there.
Their revamping of old models are usually the aging grunt/line troops such as Haqqislam Ghulam Infantry or Combined Army Furies.
Aside from Ariadna not getting much love, there really aren't too many complaints on availability of models or the overall aesthetic.
