...except Valkyries are piloted by the Imperial Navy, not the Imperial Guard...

Valkyries can be attatched to Guard regiments however...

and we don't need any, i dislike transports for individual units- it's an all or nothing thing. else the one valkyrie in the entire regiment just becomes a fire magnet, as there are no other light vehicles to shoot at

Valks are attached to Guard regiments, but not owned or operated by Guard. That's the whole thing about no Imperial Army, just Imperial Navy and Imperial Guard.
