Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to 40k but have wanted to start necrons since their old codex and just started. Give me honest feedback. I have bought models yet anyway.

HQ: Overlord w/ warscythe and res orb 130
Cryptek w/ Harbringer of destruction and Eldritch lance 45

Elite: 5 Deathmarks 95
5 Lychguard 200

Troops: 10 warriors 130
10 warriors 130


Total: 730

So any advice/critism would be awesome. I don't want to buy a bunch of models only to realize I screwed up my list. And the majority of my opponents are infantry SM and mob Orks

Oh, the over lord.will ride with the lychguard and the cryptek will run with a warrior squad. The lychguar/lord team will take out harden targets and tangle with any light armour I might see. The deathmarks will target the terminators or heavy troops first, then pin the HQ troops. The warriors.will just.slog it out, with the cryptek working in suppourt

hmm... this doesn't take advantage of synergy very much.

The answer to the question depends on what you want to do. You have elements of a workable list, but it depends on what you want to do with it. If you are looking at a non competitive list, build on the above. If you want a competitive list, check dakka for wraithwing, scarab farm and MTO to see what appeals.
