I think most CSM vehicles are just regular SM vehicles with some spikey bits etc

This. Of course, even if there is a difference worth mentioning, like a havoc launcher, you can just ignore it, so long as your opponent is willing. As I've heard, some people can be a little cranky about proxies.

Get them, sell the spikey bits tho you wont need those. You should probably find the hatches for sm vehicles though. IIRC they dont include them on the CSM vehicles

Just be sure to exorsize your machines completly and destroy all marks of the ruinous powers. you wouldn't want to leave your landraider with a demon in it would you? nor would you want any instances of frendily fire.

AFAIK the CSM tanks are just SM tanks without the SM accessory sprue and with the CSM accessory sprue.

If you just need the hulls and not the guns on top and/or the other bits, CSM vehicles are the same as SM vehicles (except for the landraider variants)

You can always find the bits you need on ebay or other stores, such as one actually called "Spikey Bits', hahahhaa.

If its a good sale, I would suggest taking advantage of it. As others have mentioned, its not that hard to convert over.

Both come with exactly the same tank sprues, the only difference is the upgrade sprues. Chaos has one spikey bits, havoc laucher, combibolter and an assortment of nasty looking things, the SM one has Aquillas, SM symbols, storm bolters, ect.

Other than that upgrade sprue, there is absolutely no difference.
