I would say this does require it's own thread. Posting a specific title with "free" in it is going to garner a lot more attention that a single post in a absurdly huge thread, that most people will no-doubt skip past or not see at all.

I think the idea behind it is to advertise their company, hence why they are offering an incentive to 'like' it on Facebook in the hopes that other hobbyists might notice and proceed to purchase from their store.
However, it's up to a moderator to decide.

Companies frequently are allowed to advertise products and services on here, and I for one don't mind. It's not like there's so much news to report that people showing off their new products are going to crowd out news of GW's latest corporate blunder.
Anyway I think this thread is fine. I certainly find it relevant to my interests. I wouldn't have heard about their offer otherwise.
