So i just went to the forgeworld site, And know it is asking if it can store information on my computer.
Why are they doing this now?
I know quite a few sites do this but why is forgeworld deciding to do this?

They are doing it to comply with EU laws. They actually sent out a mail about this a while ago. They aren't doing anything new, just telling you about it.

The EU laws that require websites to request permission to place cookies on your PC. New in the last month, asking that is since they have been doing it previously without your expressed consent.

I'm confused. When can I expect FW to send me cookies? Can I request flavors? Or flavours?

You have to pay a 12% shipping cost unless you order over a certain amount of cookies.

If you order the 10 lbs super cookie for 500 pounds shipping is automatically free.

Also it is hilarious to see replies like "I don't use forgeworld now because they started storing cookies on my PC."

Note that cookies are totally harmless and can store absolutely no more information on you than if they were logging your ip.

Unless they're dark side cookies. You know you want them.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

But gun-toting folk actively look for reasons to get mad

Why do they actually *need* to put cookies on your computer? Interesting that if you don't agree, they won't let you browse the site.

Can I get cancer from FW cookies?

I'm always careful when I use them or cut them but those crumbs get everywhere!

I think usually cookies are needed to be placed for you to be able to log in, use a shoppig cart, stuff like that.

So without cookies, you can't by stuff?

Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

If I put third party chocolate chips in my GW cookies, can I still eat them at official tournaments and GW stores?

Right. They just have to follow some new UK law that tells you they're giving you a cookie on your computer.
