I got the info through a well connected friend but that seems to back it up

The previous rock solid rumour at Warseer said it's launching 30th of June already...one week after the new WD is out.

I heard yesterday from someone who's always in the know that it was June 30th.
I don't know what his sources are but he's usually pretty accurate.

Brother Axel, I think mikhaila was implying that the distributors he uses don't have it in stock yet, as he's a store owner and I know he's mentioned he uses several different distributors.

So the rule book is in late june or early july. Do we know when we'll have access to the mini-rulebook/starter set?

You underestimate the scale of GW.

Current estimates are September.

I haven't heard any specific rumors, but if 5e/WHFB 8e are any indication, it won't be until September.

IF GW started using 3rd party warehouses, that only started within the last 3 years, and negates one of the reasons they moved to Memphis....

Hmm, so two release dates have been givenby 'reliable sources'. I wonder if the one is for the physical book and the other is for the iBook?

Meh July 7th, June 30th, no big difference there. The real question is when the PDF version will hit the nets lol.

It's not that I don't care to pay for the rulebook, I'd just much rather save my $ to buy the more useful/functional small version that will be with the box set. However the wait till the box set coming out may kill me.

I'm so glad we've had ample time to plan for a big release party!

Oh I'm going to laugh if the release is an anticlimactic flop on account of nobody knowing about it. It would send an overdue message to GW.

July 7th? That'd be awesome, since it'd be my Birthday.

It will be a flop as far as I'm concerned, because I will buy the rulebook and that's it. Three armies is enough.

Well we can rule you out as a viable source. As a former GW employee I know for fact that they do have their own warehouse (having been there for training). It is where they literally make, package, store and ship from. However, IF it is being released end of June or beginning of July then yes they are correct it would be waiting in the warehouse.

Not sure what Im more excited about. A) A new edition to learn and have loads of fun with (lets face it we will complain then praise) or B) Troll all those people who said this or that is going to be in the edition when it's not and making sure they are outed as an unreliable source

Will buy the rule book and new stuff as I have the stuff that I need to make other armies.

I have all the Orks i need (but not all i want ) barring the new planes, so after i have those i'll be done buying Orks until the new ork dex/units get released.

My DE are expanding, but very slowly, as i can't afford to buy them any more, barring tournament entry buys,

My Daemons are pretty much in the trade basket/on the shelf these days, next to my small BT force.

I'll not be starting any new armies, as the price to do so is beyond silly I had planned on DKOK, but no more.


I'm hoping for the best with the new BRB, but expecting a total marine-worshipping clusterfeth if certain writers get the lead developer hat. We'll see..

The date should be easy to figure out. GW won't release 6th edition without at least one week for preorders and those won't be posted until July's White Dwarf is released. Therefore if you look in the back of the current White Dwarf for the release date for next month's issue and add a week you'll have the earliest possible release date for 6th edition.

Methinks you missed the words "just" and "also". He wasn't saying that GW doesn't have its own warehouse(s); he was saying that they don't exclusively use those.

Fingers crossed that the new edition breaks before Dark Angels is re-released...
