There's an Apoc game in July, and I want to crank out a couple of these guys cause their cost-to-benefit ratio is just ridculous. Only 355 points to force units to take pinning tests every turn? That's insane. I have a couple questions though before I get scratch-build fever:

1. What is their proper height? It gives you a boy in the book for size comparison but It's hard to tell. To me it looks to be as tall as a Stompa.

2. On a roll of 4+ it causes, among other things, D3 glancing hits to all vehicles within 4D6". That includes Super-heavies right? Other weapons (like the Lift-droppa) in the Apocalypse book will specifically say except super-heavies in their rules if they don't want them included among the damage caused to vehicles by a particular weapon or effect. But the Pulsa rocket makes no distinction, it just says all vehicles.

I want to be sure I have this rule right before I go build three of them to glance to death an enemy Warlord Titan.

Measure the size of the boy in the pic, then measure the rocket.
Thats the best way you can get a good size comparison.
You can also work out the scale of the launching platform then and the rocket.

Use the size of the boy in the pic to gain a proper size comparison. And it would cause D3 Glancing Hits to all vehicles, if it doesn't specifically exclude Super-Heavies from this effect.

FYI alot of APOC games ban this model because honestly it ruins the game. Nothings more exciting bringing a couple thousand point armies and not being allowed to move them. I am sure "friends" will be glad you did that.

I've seen a Warlord Titan drop 4 to 6 Str D plates PLUS a Vortex Missile while taking a Hammer Blow to the face, 3 Thunderbolts' worth of Hellstrike Missiles and Lascannon fire, twin-linked Multi-Melta shots WITHIN the Void Shields and still survive to the end of the game. I hardly think 2 Pulsa Rockets would be considered "unfun" by comparison.

But to answer the question, I'm pretty sure you can make it any size you want as long as it's reasonable. Don't make it so small that it'll be labled as cheese and you're fine. If I were to make one I'd start with one of those model rockets or a small water bottle.

Hard to tell, but it's big.

I think this guy has the right idea:

measuring it roughly gave me estimates from 8.5-13 inches, with 10 feeling about right.

The thing thing about any discussion concerning why orks did something usually ends with because they are orks, and noone seems to argue, or offer further questioning.

My Idea for that is that instead of Auto-pinning on a 4+, I'm changing the rules so that it's a another pinning test like the other rolls, but at leadership - D6. That way it'll still pin units but not freeze up the whole board. Leadership - D6 sounds way more Orky than Auto-pinning anyways.

I've decided to use some 20 oz. Soda bottles as the basis for the rockets, and build suitable stands around them.
