Ive been doing Necrons for some time now and I want to have my army list checked out
any advice on how i could imprve it is much apreciated

The plan is to use the Warriors to hold objectives and harras the enermy
The Overlord and the Immortals will take out tougher opponents and will hold objectives if they have to
The Cryptek will most hang back and take out larger squads, jump infantry, and will weaken vehicles, but will make use of his squads assualt weapons and keep moving
The Destryors and Scarabs will make hit and run attacks and will take out tanks
And the Monlith will destroy all that stand in my way.

War-blobs are fine, but remember that a properly kitted out Ghost Ark will have a similar firepower, while moving faster and being able to repair and cover your warriors and cryptek quite well (AV13 is for the win!). Also, you attached the normal Lord to the 20bots, so they won't benefit from the Phaeron, which is, imho, mandatory if you take a full power squad: kit him with Phaeron of course, a Resurrection Orb as well, and maybe a Cryptek HoD with defensive granades...not even terminators will assault you.

5 Tesla immortals are quite an harassment, but if properly targetted they won't survive a single turn. Think about having them upgraded to a 10 man.

Also, I personally dislike the Destroyers and Monolith (I have a monolith and 6 poor destroyers painted and standing by my bed...), not because they are not good, but because you can take better units for those points. If you desperately need AT, our best chance is the Triarch Stalker (and, of course, the Catacomb Command Barge!!). You have lot of shooting, so a good Triarch Stalker with TL Heavy Gauss Cannon will stay in cover into your lines, twin linking mass fire or pot-shotting AV12-13.

7 Scarabs will surely take out ONE tank if properly covered, but remember that they die as flies against MEQS squads. And while you move them into place, your opponents mechs will hammer down your infantry. No concern that Regeneration Protocols can handle that, but Vindicators Pies in the head are not a good start.

All this to say, you need some anti tank. Not that much, your gauss fire can handle most things when properly deployed, but those 2 turns needed to reach 12-24 range will be painful, and a good opponent will make you regret not taking transport or a proper anti-tank. Maybe you won't need the Annihillation Barges, because you have lot of firepower in the Troops, but surely you'll need some Stalkers and maybe a CCB.


The "custom char" is a fun idea, even if Hunter's Cloak seems OP and mandatory for those points. Phareon seems not matching with the character, that is quite an assassin, and for sure Rangefinder Scarabs are against the general idea of 40K shooting phase, IMHO. Assault 3 VP 4 sniper is very powerful, too.

How I would use Ahkensenuek is as a supporting character with deathmarks acompanying him.

I was in your situation some months ago, had lots of "old stuff" and not willing to purchase. Even if, I have to say, Converting some Crypteks and getting some Barges (I have 2 CCB and 2 Annihillation) powered my games skyhigh! You could consider some wraiths, too.

But, to be REALLY HONEST, I wouldn't purchase ANYTHING before the release of 6th Edition Rulebook. Lots of things will change, so I'm clearly talking with a 5th Edition in mind.

Plan-
Use Infantry wisely and avoid open ground, take out as much enerny as I can.
Use the Stalkers to take out tanks, and Ark to take out everything it sees.
Use the Spyder to repair Vehicles and take out infantry.


Things to get-triach stalkers, barges, crypteks, arks, 5 Immortals-tesla, Spyders, Waiths,
