So my biggest problem in games is objectives. I tend to defend them well but is damned i can capture them. They are impossible for me to keep.
I tend to play defensively rather then offensively.
Like i could have got the objective yesterday in a game if i didnt keep my rhino(with tact) and my razorback(with stern) behind cover for the first turn.
So i need some help and advice.
Here is my list or those wondering.

You seem to have enough troop choices at that point level, so, the apparent reason isn't the issue.
Not saying you need to, however, I have found that drop pods delivering any sort of SM onto an objective mid to late game is the easiest way to claim said objective. You can always combat squad your marines too, if there are numerous objectives.

Remember your rhinos have a mobile cover save in smoke launchers. Use that to your advantage and move them full speed. pop smoke with one and set the second behind it to get cover. Turn 2 switch roles. Granted this only works if you want to get 2 rhinos full of marines in one place

Start planning on booking it for objectives turn 3 or 4, any earlier than that and its to early, and your opponent can counter easily. Any later and you wont quite make it., also, stay in your metal box.

Sending a rhino with an innocuous combat squad around the flank (while making a feint with much scarier stuff in the center) is a good plan. Pick your target at the start of the game, and keep your eye on the prize as best you can. Now, I might be getting a little Ork in your strategy here, but tank shocking is your friend. On turn 5 you should try to get into position to tank-shock enemy troops right off of their objective. If need be, hop out and make use of some flamers (if you can fit them in). Putting whatever it is that lets you re-roll dangerous terrain checks might also be useful.
Like dmthomas7 said, use smoke when you are out in the open. Not only for the cover saves, but if it's not a big target (and other stuff is), people may not even bother shooting at it.

Christ, where do you buy your turnips? |

What has been your experience with the Master of the Forge and that conversion beamer? How do you deploy / who do you attach him to?
I have toyed with the idea of running a MotF on a bike with a conversion beamer to make him relentless. I just have not gotten around to trying out yet.
I am guessing you use the bolster defenses for the scouts with Telion to get a 2+ cover save?

He destroyed a land raider first turn. He is very deadly. Sense we choose terrain i always put the largest ruin on my side. I put him up top. It takes alot to get up there and take him down. aand you have about. a dreadnought, Devs, and scouts between him
