You sir have divided by zero. You go directly to jail. You do not pass Go, you do not collect 200 dollars. You may not use your get out of jail free card, and in this prison are ten thousand years of unsolvable riddles that you must spend an eternity finding the answers to. That is your punishment so say-ith Tzeentch, the true master of knowledge, and the only one able to grant you the answer you seek.

Presumably the Sorceror commanding senses the awful wrongness of the blank ahead of time and informs his rubrics "GO SHOOT THAT!" before fleeing.

The disruption effect of a Blank does not extend to the range of a bolter. So, in short, they shoot him... or they send some actual, mortal reavers to get medieval on him with chainswords and meat-cleavers.

A blank? I'm pretty sure that the sorceror gets something along the lines of a stomach ache, nauseau, and a headache. A pariah however, the sorceror is probably going to go into convulsions and possibly die.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

Engage from range. A blank/pariah's ability is limited to a short area around them - Rubricae and Sorcerers will just blow them up with heavy weapons or shoot them with bolters from a distance. They still have targeting auspexes and detection sensors - even if they can't detect them by psychic means, they can still do so by technological means.

It is a little known fact that the mechanicum are currently working on a variant of the Manticore code-named "the blunter" which basically fires a big metal tube lined with suspensors on the interior. They stuff a pariah inside and launch it into any oncoming enemy force which relies heavily on psychic powers.
Rubric marines? taken care of. Zoanthropes? A-sploded. Daemons? Cease to exist.
Then the pariah rides out the battle listening to inspiring imperial hymns or watching the latest holo-dramas while waiting for retrieval once the fores of the Emperor have been vanquished.

If a deamonis close enought to a blank it would most likely either be repelled away as its conectionto the warp is severed or would be banished.

Pretty sure using a blank to fight a demon is like hoping double glazed window will stop a tsunami. They pretty much just die.
There's a scene in Eisenhorn/Ravenor where a blank is confronted by a demon and the demon just laughs at him.

Well there is a difference between a blank and a pariah, a pariah is a hole in the warp, its pretty much the anti-warp. Blanks are able to block psychic powers in a certain area.

Psykers cannot sense a Blank until they are within the range of his blankness.
They could sense a Pariah as they are much more noticable.
Psykers have a positive effect in the warp. Blanks have no visable effect beyond calming the warp, the only way a psyker could detect a Blank would be if he was actively attempting to do something to it. They would be the one person in a crowd of people who he can't see with his Wytchsight.
A Pariah is alot more. They don't calm warp energy, they consume it, drain it. Creating negative warp space. Its very obvious.

Why? The Rubrics are Thousand Sons with little or no psychic potential, they're souls bound into armour but not psychic in and of themselves. They don't require any connection to the warp to sustain themselves.

And their powers are completely and utterly useless against a Blank, as well as just tryign to use psychic powers NEAR a Blank tends to be far more difficult, especially if theyr'e targeting anyone near the Blank. The text makes no real notable difference between a blank and a pariah, they're two words for the same thing. But if you meant a culexis assassin, that's something entirely different. A culexis assassin is to a normal Blank what a highly trained, disciplined, and startlingly sane alpha-level psyker is to a normal psyker. Nitros14 wrote:The Rubrics are Thousand Sons with little or no psychic potential, they're souls bound into armour but not psychic in and of themselves.
Actually, that itself is inherently psychic in nature, similar to daemon weapons in a sense.
