I have a load of plague-bearers but now with the new allying in 6th edition i need more plague marines. What does anyone think of giving plague bearers guns and using them as plague marines. If any one has any alternative suggestions, opinions on this idea or any other helpful information then please do contribute it.

For any suggestions please bear in mind that I am rubbish at using green stuff and I dont want to convert (chaos) space marines into plague marines.

Maybe some Texture paint on the armour of a normal SM would look like Plaguemarines?

No, that would look like a bunch of crap on top of your models. It would literally be chunks of basing grit on your guys, and I can't imagine why anyone would ever want that. If you're going to convert up Plague Marines, you need at least some green stuff skills and the ability to beat up the armor a bit with cracks, gouges, and bullet holes. If you're crafty with a knife and glue you could cut away into some parts of Marine armor and put in zombie pieces; so for example you could have an arm where the wrist armor is worn down and you can see a zombie arm under it or what have you.

Here's a tutorial that will need green stuff:

Most green stuff work shouldn't be entirely too hard on them really.

it would be cool if you mixed marine and plauge bearer bits together e.g marine legs with a plauge bearer torso and mabe add the bolter and a sholder pad so they look like really possesed marines
