Today I was gardening (shutup) and found a small little shiy object in the ground. Oh what would that be? oh it is my old Epic 40k silver tower of Tzeentch! So I gave it a good wash reprimed it and painting it outside like oldtimes and started thinking, hey I should get back into Epic 40k!

So here I am. I want to know if anyone even plays epic 40k still. I would like to but unless I see people actually play it I will most likley have to stick to 40k and god knows how many 40k models ive made in my life!
So do tell do people still play, and if so is it as fun as I remember?

Lots of people play it but I would imagine you won't find that many locally. Why not try and get some of your friends into it so that you all can share the warmth?

If not, there are programs like NetEpic that allow you to play people on-line

Depending on what version of Epic you play, it still remains one of the better thought out and executed GW rulesets. I certainly have had much more fun playing Epic than 40K - indeed when I was a nipper back in the early 90's, Epic was considered the 'main' ruleset and 40K was seen as the accompaniment rather than how they are viewed these days, at least in my local area anyway.

I have a full army (Overful rather. God, something like 5K+ pts) of epic nids that I unfortunately have no-one to play against. However, I'm in love with the old Epic 40K rules (Not a fan at all of Epic:Armageddon or NetEpic from what I've seen), and hope to one day convince my local 40K groups to try Floorhammer, using the Epic 40K rules, standard 40K models, and 5cm=1' ranges...

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

I wish they had never made Epic 40,000, the old Space Marine game was great! NetEpic is a close second. I have had tons of the minis for years and could never convince anyone to play!
