I ordered my Gamer's Edition to my local store as soon as it was available on the 22nd and was guaranteed that would be available on the release date (30th). It is now nearly a week later and they have still not received it, let alone been told when they will receive it. The only response I've been given is that I MAY be told what's going on next Friday.

It is one thing to be understocked on a limited time product, but it's another thing entirely to lie that the product was shipped and offer no information until multiple calls have been made (and that information is just when the actual info may be revealed).

I'm getting more and more pissed as I'm continuously shrugged off by my FLGS, so I'm writing this message.
Recommendations, add-ins, people in similar situations?
I'll be sending it in a couple of minutes and I'm just wondering what else I should point out, demand, or question.

Seems good to me. You've included everything.

I would recommend that if they do not send you a gamer's edition, (do not write this) then demand a full refund. Like I said don't include it because that provides incentive for them to just give a refund rather than attempt to get one.

Are you sure it's GW's fault, and not the FLGS? Mine botched my order, didn't tell me until I went in and pressed them about it twice, and I have not yet received it as a result.

Not trying to defend GW here beyond a reasonable extent. Just trying to ask whether you've made the calls in reference to the order number you received, or did the store?

I ordered off the GW website and chose the shipping option as the local store, this is solely on GW.
The local guys are actually nice and are trying at least.

Ah, well, yeah then, it's either the shipping company or it's GW. Either way, pressure on GW is a good place to start.

How could they have botched your order?
My FLGS basically just has a pc where people off the site while in store.

Our game store offers a discount for getting things through them. The things they order are actually part of the store order though distributors. Since they get things at a discount from the distributors, the discount cuts into the store margins while still making them a bit of money and keeping us happy (and off online retailers).

All I got from one of the older guys that helps kind of manage the place was that one of the kids fethed up and then tried to conceal it. He apologized and took care of it from there. It's now supposed to get in today. I'm guessing that the kid took the order, but didn't actually put it into whatever system they use to manage their order from their distributor, and then it just went into limbo at the time.

Chalking it up to a "life sucks" kind of thing at this point.

Your store gives you a computer to order directly from GW? They don't get a cut?

From what I've heard other people who had problems reported them, got a standard copy, the munitorum dice/templates, and a refund.

@Nave Senrag: That would be appreciated, but I was going to do A DKOK cosplay and besides this the only other aquila badges (and belt buckles) are like 90 bucks due to how rare they.

Oh! Okay then. This tale makes 1000 times more sense. Your use of FLGS led me to believe it was an independent store. I get it now.

Sorry, haven't been on the forums too long and for some reason I'd thought that FLGS was either a blanket term for gaming club/stores, or a sarcastic stab at GW.

Hey, no worries. I assume the Friendly Local part of it is sort of a jab at GW, implying that they're not, but maybe that's just me.

To be fair though, the one GW store (Downer's Grove, IL) I've ever been was pretty amazing.

I am also waiting. I just went into the store on the 30th EXPECTING it to be there, since I had shipping confirmation etc, and I ended up NOT walking out with my swag, but at least the GW store gave me a rulebook, and cards, so I have the important part, but not the part I bought.... Sigh.. They should owe me something for this...

...and as an edit, you got me thinking, that when I went there, they did not have what I ordered, and had confirmation on, so I have also requested that the GW store do something about the shipment not being there after I got confirmation. I am sure they will do nothing, but I think they are causing problems letting this continue with no contact. We have a great GW store, but it is not exactly close, but I used that ship to store to ensure I got what I ordered.

Well at least you aren't just still waiting to see the rules in addition to missing your other swag. That was a good deal for the local store to still hook you up that far at least.

Just an accessory for the bag. The Gamers Edition came with an aquila and a chaos star pins that go on the front of the satchel.

Thanks for the offer, I'd be happy to buy it off you if my version goes bottoms up.
But hopefully it wont come to that.

Still waiting on my Gamer's Edition. My FLGS ordered them thru a distributor and didn't get them with the initial shipment. Did any of you guys actually get yours yet, or are you still waiting?

At least I got my rulebook on release regardless.
